Karr has a public defender from Boulder...the two lawyers from CA need to apply with the Colorado State Bar in order to represent JMK in Boulder. As of today the two lawyers have not applied and according to CTV, the application would take about a week for approval.
I really hope they don't defend him. It is so obvious that they are in this for the publiciy.

PS: I see she got her hair refrosted yesterday to upgrade her appearance for talking to the public through the media. She's a media starlett now, it seems :p

I noticed that too Scandi! lol - new streaks, trimmed and teased! lol noticed she even said that JK was emotional the last time she saw him too.

Hi Mushy, Did you see the public defender? Absolutely intriguing! :p

I would venture a guess that Jaime would be turned down if she applied due to the 3 'No No's' she was called on in giving bad advice as an attorney. If they didn't want her practicing in Co, it might make a good excuse!

It really would be in the best interest of JMK, IMO. I think they railroaded him into hiring them. They are already screwing up his defense by talking about how "sane" he is.

ETA: Yes I saw the PD. I could get used to seeing him. :innocent: I heard on CTV that he made a motion not to have Karr's handwriting samples made public.

Yes, I was impressed with him also!! :p
Seriously, he appears more professional than Harmon/Vanzandt. I lost all respect for the two women from California when they "threw out" his possible mental disorder defense, and were talking "too much" about him.

Karr has requested to have CO attorneys! I hope I got that right, just heard it on CNN.

DD, Patience Van Zandt, who now works for Harmon, was a Public Defender in Sonoma County in 2001, and represented Karr in the Petaluma Child 🤬🤬🤬🤬 charges. Harmon & Associates, San Jose, had absolutely nothing to do with that.

Just thinking...I wonder if Jaime Harmon is related to Rock Harmon who's been commenting on this case with respect to the DNA (link in post 11 this thread). This Rock Harmon must be the same guy that prosecuted OJ. He dealt with the DNA part.

LOL Funny Absolut, although I notice it was her old grown out frost job! :p

By the way have you tried the Blueberry version of yourself? Mighty delicious, and when garnished with a lemon peel and fresh Blueberries on a swivel stick it makes a beautiful drink. MMmmmmm

OH. MY. GAWD! It's UNREAL, the similiarity. (Too bad for her she can't have Cameron Diaz "do" her voice, too.)

The public defender met with him late last night in jail, and stated when he was exiting the jail complex that Karr had asked to have the Public Defenders Office represent him.

Hey Anita!:blowkiss: I'll have to look closer next time I see her! hahahaha!

I just posted above wondering if she was related to Rock Harmon - maybe she's getting tips from Marcia Clarke on the makeover!

Oh sorry, I thought this was new news. :banghead: I guess this leaves those dingbats out of the loop.

A good decision on his part--maybe he heard rumors of Jamie Harmon's incompetence.

I still think the Public Defender will team with a name attorney, with the name attorney taking the lead. i think this would be a good combination.

What I'm hearing from Court tv (while waiting for a verdict in the Dyleski case!) is that Ms. Harmon hadn't even arrived in Colorado yet. Seems like she's out of the loop before she even gets there. There was a video of the new public defender (good looking man!) as he was leaving the jail last night and he stated what I posted.
:D

UPDATE The public defender's name is Seth Temin.

I'm just glad we don't have to look at their faces anymore. Well, maybe they'll show their face one more time to tell us they are no longer defending him.

Really! They can't force themselves on the defendant. He has a capable attorney now who is licensed in the State of Colorado ~ which they aren't. This also could potentially be a capital punishment case, and neither one of them looked competent enough to handle it in the least!
:D
