In a grammatical weird sense, that correction so relieves me :floorlaugh:
Side note: I am a man and I still like smileys

I respect that. Hats off to you PB. A man secure in his masculinity. I applaud you and your use of smilies! I invite and encourage ALL men to do the same! ; )

That's very unfortunate for the young girl. I see it doesn't mention her face being burned but it also doesn't say if they found her clothes.

The burnt, naked body found on a Brooklyn beach Sunday has been identified as a missing 14-year-old girl.

Law enforcement sources tell NBC 4 New York on Tuesday that the body found in Gerritsen Beach was Shaniesha Forbes, who had been missing since Friday.

"More inhumanity has been done by man himself than any other of nature's causes."

May I take the liberty to replace the word man with human?

Just arms, hands and legs burnt, but no face and no torso burns ... that doesn't look good. And kerosene nearby? I hope there won't be more of that (or are already and nobody paid attention)

Peter you said
"Also known with sociopaths is stopping because they find something else, more interesting, more exciting. In this case they can lay low for decades and keep the urges under control just by reliving. Rader for example. Or, with a touch of being bored by an inept police."

Do you think it's possible that veiwing and maybe even participating on sites like this would be interesting enough for him to stop for awhile. Could it be his way of relliving his kills? If this is so, then what happens when he get's bored with the conversation? Would he kill again just to liven things up a bit? : /

Rader (BTK) was posting. This guy might, he has outwitted the police so far.

Wasn't there someone else (Magnotta) I think it was, that posted on multiple forums. Not sure if he posted on crime forums though.

Rader was part in an example, I gave in a more generalized view. That doesn't mean, he is like Rader in all the details. So, does he read, I think so. Does he post. Well, not LISK. He has self-esteem and he doen't need that much to relive. I think, he is still out there killing, so he gets all excitement he wants. Manorville however, that's another story.

I personally believe he is. I think it's giving him a thrill, much the same way that BTK and others liked to see there name in the paper. Has it stopped him from killing? Let's hope so.

Really? Hmm. I guess that makes sense if your profile of these two is right. So MV has self esteem issues?

Where did BTK post? In a crime forum?

Rader didn't post in crime forums, he sent letters to newspapers. Could be because over most of his career, neither the internet not crime forums were invented and when they were invented, he maybe was already too old to get into that way of communication. He was like in his sixties then.

Magnotta, now, there is a true internet child. He not oly posted, he created multiple accounts to mob other posters, pretended to have majorities for his opinions and to praise himself to make others think, he would be the coolest thing since sliced bread.

He has communicative issues which probably come from self-esteem or self-perception. However, what I said about dump sites, it is not a deduction, it is simply, what both of them showed of:

- one builds a trophy garden. He wouldn't do so, if there wouldn't be a need, a use.

- the other one didn't build a trophy garden. He doesn't have that need.

And since one can't have at the same a time a need and not have it ... two guys.

That's what I thought. I was asking because (see above post by Chokker) Chokker said BTK posted and I wasn't sure what they meant by that.

So because MV has communicative issues resulting from self esteem or self perception problems, he is more likely to become an active participant in crime forums than LISK, who propbably only reads? Am I understanding this correctly?

Well, that's my opinion. All cases showing the extreme pathology of staging dismemberers ended up at some point with an unsub stomping with his feet and searching for words. Forums make it easier, because writing allows more time to think while expressing oneself. Thus, those guys have profited in two ways: Slower communication and more possibilities of manipulating (see again Magnotta, who used the second option extensively).

When I've researched him, I get a really sick feeling inside. I can't even fathom how someone can do this. SMH Maybe, I should just stop trying to understand the pysche behind these types of aberration! Maybe the "abnormal" mind can't be fully understood by the "normal" mind.

Magnotta is in the basics simple. Garden variety psychopath plus narcissistic personality disorder. Such a psychopath/narcissist (another example would be Albright, but he had this eye thing going) basically overcompensates for what he feels, often on a subconscious level, as weakness or flaw. Typical behavior includes daydreams of being infamous, someone, who scares people basically into submission. It's the kind of unsub who often actually wants to be a monster, feared by others. And to do that, they are willing to go through some effort. Add to this the manipulative nature of a psychopath, driven by rage and a feeling of entitlement, and you get, in the higher IQ variant someone like Magnotta. However, as usual, the garden variety is a wide field, so you will see other signatures as well. Albright for example was the same model, but he had a fable for taxidermy in his youth. Now, his mother supported her precious kid's hobby, but only to one limit: He was never allowed to buy eyes for his work. So, as an adult and late bloomer serial killer, he took the eyes of his victims. Therefore his nickname, Texas Eyeball Killer.
Personally, I think, if one studies enough cases all over the field, they become pretty transparent. But transparent doesn't mean, they will become more appealing or less disgusting.
