Breaking News ~ NC Wanted re: Janet

Hmmmm, defense attorney just mentioned WebSleuths a couple of times. Not in the most positive way with respect to postings. Said that everything RA did was documented on WS. I will have to find time to go back to the earliest posts on this case and see what he was talking about.

 Why is this defense attorney mentioning Websleuths in his opening statement.

Ha! I just said the same thing. I will try to find time to day to go back to the very earliest posts in this case on here and see what he was referring to.

What is it with those Raleigh trials mentioning Websleuths during trials.
:giggle: He sure did peek my interest now.

Opening statements are now concluded, the judge excuses the jury to speak to the attorneys regarding a matter.

The judge asks if there are any objections to the jurors having notebooks. No objections

Deputy puts the notebook and pens on the jurors seats before they return to hear witness testimony.

Looks like we are another little piece of the focus in another NC DV murder trial. That sounds like it will make for good watching. Too bad the subject is another horrific tragedy.

States exhibits 1 & 2 are being published to the jury at this time. They are photos of Janet before she was killed.

The exhibits are passed around to the jurors, so we are not privy to them.

Hi JF! Good to see you, albeit a sad event.

Ha! Well we have known all along that a lot of trial principals read Websleuths -- or have an assistant read here -- haven't we, East and other WS peeps??

He obviously didn't mind admitting it. So what's the problem -- the jury won't be reading on WS, or certainly shouldn't be. If he's so hip to WS, did he ask the prospective jurors if they were familiar with WS or any other [lesser and far inferior, IMO] online sites? I would think that any prospect who had read here would be disqualified..... so what's the big deal?

He certainly didn't help himself out in my book by being so huffy and negative about our WS. Harrrrummppfff!

The 911 call:

http://www.ncwanted.com/unsolved/audio/2034527/

If you are bored go and read some statement analysis stuff by Lt. Tracy Harpster. He has written a lot on "Is the caller the killer?"
Using his COPS scale I say this guy sounds guilty to me!

He is frantic when answering questions about the wife but can recite his phone number, his wife's age, and their address and other information without problem.

He starts off the call saying his wife is dead. (acceptance of victim's death)
Does not request help for the victim.. later he says "there's like stuff everywhere".
Tells the dispatcher how he came home and found his wife.
Dispatcher asks about doing CPR. Raven says "she's not with me". (Lack of CPR cooperation)
