I disagree, Lion. With the glass door and windows...if she left a light on in the room (which I suspect they did)...it would have been a clear view of her on the sofa from the road which goes right by there. I think he saw her as he was driving by.

if this myspace guy could be the perp - and of course it seems to be sexually motivated - i know i wanted nothing to do w/sex when i was pregnant and it drove my husband nuts!!! maybe that could be the driving factor IF this could be the guy ..... doing it incognito or by attacking someone in his mind he won't get caught or accused of cheating.....and it satisfies his needs - just a thought....

It isn't about sex. It is about power and control.

I think a lot of people confuse this issue. The gratification is being dominant over the other person and stripping them of their dignity via the act. Yes, they do derive sexual pleasure...but it isn't what is running through their sick heads.

A rapist could be having sex with his partner daily...and still find the need to rape.

I also recall that the description of the man stated that there was no alcohol or cigarette smoke detected by the victim. Since she was up close to the slime, unfortunately for her, she may have detected it pretty accurately.

Ah, I get it, aj:). ITA that the victim gave excellent info to LE despite the trauma she had been through. That she couldn't read actual words on those papers is completely understandable, and I didn't mean anything by it. She may have been at a bad angle, too far away to read the words, or too busy struggling for her own safety. I bet she would have if he could have. She got a darn good description of the inside of the truck, the cd player, the perp's structure, and more.

Lion

Oh good, I'm glad we're on the same "page". Pardon the pun...

It's so amazing that she got such a detailed description of everything - the material of the shirt and pants, the hair and lack thereof, the truck's interior and exterior. I would be in such a state of shock in that situation that it would be hard to focus on any details.

It bothers me a little that LE has said they went "back" to this victim after a match was made to Brianna to get a more detailed description of the attacker. Why didn't they get this detailed of a description in the first place when the case needed to be solved in it's own right - without the tie to Brianna.

His motivations are much more than not getting sex at home. There are a lot of lonely guys in this world that do not rape.

I imagine this has been covered, but that he broke in and abducted Brianna indicates he was watching her. He may have only seen her that night as he trolled for his next victim. But, nonetheless he may have scoped her out. This would be as opposed to driving along a road and abducting someone from their disabled vehicle on the side of the road. No doubt he would do that, too if he was, "needing" to attack again and found a woman near a disabled vehicle on the side of the road.

But, it seems he scopes out his victims at least in the case of Brianna. We just don't know for how long he stalks before he attacks. Brianna may have only been in the apartment for a short time, but for all we know his original intended target may have been the other young lady in the apartment.

Lion

I've had that same thought about Brianna, she may not have been the intended victim. IMO, think he's had his eye on this house for awhile. It's quite possible that he was going after K.T or Jessica. Poor Brinanna just happened to be there.

Excellent point, Aj. Why DIDN'T they?! Sloppy police work would be my first guess. Only when they had proof he was involved in another one...they decided it was a good idea.

But if it wasn't Poor Brianna, it would have been Poor KT. This horrible waste of air needs to be stopped before it becomes Poor Someone Else.

But..she would not be able to tell if he was on some type of drug.

Doesn't that kind of contradict the description that he's strong but not a bodybuilder and has belly fat? Would they have employees who aren't "fit"?

I don't know about gym's but I went to Jenny Craig once as support for a friend and the girl that interviewed my friend needed to lose WAY more weight than my friend. When we left I told her not to do it since the person that was going to be her coach was the same height and at least 30 lbs heavier. Wasn't really a sound endorsement in my eyes, especially when they wanted $350 a month

I agree. This guy isn't getting his jolly's like the rest of us would. He would do this no matter how much sex he has access to.

Your post made me realize that this makes it unlikely he worked at a bar. Even as a non-smoker, he would REEK of cigarette's.

That is a good point, StillHoping.

Hmmm, it bugs me too, aj. But, maybe they were thinking similarly to the way we think. We hear the initial story. We think about it. More info is reported (DNA matched), and we have more questions as a result. At least I hope that was the case.

Does Reno have a smoking ban? We have one here so you no longer leave the bar reeking of smoke (halleluyer!). :)

True, but they're LE! Shouldn't they be like 10 steps ahead of us??

Reno does not have a smoking ban that I can tell. One blogger mentioned the dive-bar Zephr was very "smokey".

I soooooo anticipate this slime's capture. He needs to be off the streets forever, and Brianna needs to be found. I can only imagine what her family and other loved ones are going through. I can't imagine what she went through or is still going through.
