Dad and others -

Do you think that if the perp used the panties as a ligature that it points to him killing Brianna in the house? I'm just trying to piece together the thought process. Would he grab both pear of panties from the house and take them with him and Brianna to another crime site? Or was it a spontaneous thing where both were lying nearby in a hamper and he used them to strangle her right there?
Remember that the PP underwear had no known DNA on it.

If laundering the pink UW would get rid of any DNA, then I can't think of anywhere he could have gotten them except the dirty laundry or on the floor in the room of the owner. If Brianna had borrowed them, there shouldn't be the roommates DNA on them, and if they were actually Briannas to begin with, than the roommates DNA wouldn't be on them either.(assuming they were washed in the first case). So the way I see it, he had to have gotten them in the house, dirty.

That's all I have to say about that

I guess what I'm trying to ask is whether or not the underwear was some sort of premeditated factor.

I'm trying to figure out his thought process in getting and having both pair of underwear on him. The RPD has not stated that the PP thong is from the apartment, while they believe the pink pair is because it has the DNA of one of the residents. If the PP thong is not from the apartment and he maybe brought that pair of underwear with him, why did he also acquire another pair from the apartment? He would have brought the PP thong for a reason, but how could he have known he'd have access to more underwear in the house?

I am interested to hear your additional thoughts on his process.

I think Brianna was wearing the pink underwear and no other underwear was taken from the apartment. Id she was wearing the pink underwear, it makes sense that they would be disposed of with her body.

I don't think he escalated so fast in his condition that it would lead to premeditated murder. That opinion is surely debatable.

The PP thong is quite the unknown. It is resonable to think the perp brought it with him for a purpose in the attack, to leave it as a "sign" to LE, to leave it as a "red herring" for LE, or he has a panty fetish. My opinion, which is probably less likely to be true statistically, is that he had it in his vehicle for an unknown reason and was disposed of, without a specific cause, with Brianna's body.

You could very well be right that Bri was wearing the pink uw, but how do you think the roommates DNA got on them?

I'm starting to think, also, that LE intentionally "misinformed " the public about the DNA on the PP uw. It would seem to make sense in a way. LE seems pretty sure that there is a SO. If I was this girl and had doubts or suspicions about my boyfriend/husband and then saw my underwear on national television and all over the internet and knew that the "unknown" DNA was mine, I'd be down at that Police station in 5 min. The fear of being labeled as an accomplice and spending life in prison would, at least for me, outweigh my fear of him. If she's a mother, she's got a child to raise. You gotta figure, if he's not the perp she might be able to rule him out without him knowing, and if he is, he'll be incarcerated within hours.

Adniod: This cannot be LE bashing because I would have agreed with THIS decision. I even capitalized Police.

Would the Police put her at top of the 2500 leads or bottom? Just wondering. Unfortunately we do not have 2500 Officers to sift through 2500 leads

I'm still the same guy - just mind the TOS and we'll all get along. :blowkiss:

That's what I was wondering. There might be quite a few women who have called in claiming to have lost similar underwear. Hopefully certain leads get priority though. I've seen programs on tv where a witness with a lead waited and waited for someone to get back to her and finally had to go to the station and raise a ruckus to get something done.

One thing I can assure you of is that the December vic would know the perps voice in a heartbeat. He would not let her look directly at him and even told her not to look at him or he would have to kill her..if previous press reports are true. That was only released recently. But she saw everything around her as best she could and I think if she heard his voice again she would know that voice without a doubt.

JMHO

I'm sure you're correct......the victim would certainly be able to identify the suspect from the sound of his voice. But, they've got to catch him first.

Since LE has recently made statements to the media about no one coming forward about the PP UW then if someone did I think that info would get priority. Especially if that someone knew someone that fits the suspect description who in addition may have had access to them. Also, someone or several persons coming forward about the UW possibly belonging to them and are missing can under go dna testing to zero in on exactly who's they are. Then there's also the remote possibility that the original owner's dna isn't on them.

How about the PP UW being left to show there are two perps involved here and another undiscovered victim? I know it is unusual for this type but there are enough cases to show that it has and does happen.

We know from the reports that the suspect grabbed the Nov. and Dec. victims from behind. With the Dec. victim, the suspect used some sort of neck hold on her that caused her to lose conscious for a few minutes.

Consider this scenario..........................Brianna didn't go to bed right away. She was on the phone with her boyfriend at 4:23am. The suspect may have been outside lurking for some time, watching her and waiting for the opportune moment to grab her.

Just as Brianna turns out the light and prepares to lie down on the sofa, the suspect quietly slips though the unlocked door and grabs her from behind as he did the others. He puts his hand over her mouth and his forearm is gripping her neck in a hold. As with the Dec. victim, the suspect applied pressure and Brianna lost conscious. He laid her on the sofa while he quickly finds something to gag her with, and he finds the pink underwear in a pile of dirty clothes nearby. Brianna had struggled against her attacker and her lip was cut and she left blood on the pillow. The suspect uses the pink underwear to gag Brianna before he carries her out to his vehicle.

Brianna regains consciousness in the suspect's vehicle and he tells her not to look at him or he'll have to kill her. The suspect removes the gag in preparation for sexual assault, and Brianna screams and fights him. It's at this point that he kills her, strangling her with his hands to stop her from screaming.

I thought this was the lastest release...
Can you give me the link?

There's a new article at the RGJ website on the Dennison case. The backlog of DNA has been processed and there's no DNA match with the DNA of the person who abducted/murdered Brianna, and who attacked two previous victims.

http://news.rgj.com/apps/pbcs.dll/a...EWS18/80313051&oaso=news.rgj.com/breakingnews

Interestingly, the results of the backlog resolved 30 unsolved cases, including one sexual assault, burglaries, robberies, and weapons violations. The crimes were anywhere from 6 months to 7 years old.

I wonder if the murderer could be a postal carrier? They usually wear short sleeve shirts, are outside, and would know who lives where if interested. The workers that I see are usually in pretty good shape though, at least in their legs from walking, but many are hired as temporaries.

There was an additional statement from LE about a week before the press conference that's been discussed here in the threads. They move so fast and are so many :blowkiss:

as good a theory as any other....i've always thought he watched the place for awhile, maybe even prior to that early morning....your theory makes perfect sense about how he got the underpants (not the PP thong) there from the house....

I went here and got some interesting results. Unfortunately, there is no way to copy the results here. I used 1395 Mackay for the address.

I am sure the police already use something like this - at least I HOPE so!
