did you ever find out any more info on this guy?

I've been looking, and I can't find the slip of paper I wrote the guy's name on. At the time I was thinking it was a good lead, but if the guy has served time for molesting young girls, his DNA is probably on file and checked against the perp's DNA.

I will keep looking though.............

Read this comment from anotherConcernedParent posted at 8:20 PM on 3/21/08.....Very interesting.

I had posted before that I felt the perp might be planting DNA, but I got alot of grief for it.

Wow.........the comment by AnotherConcernedParent is something I hope the police are investigating. This person is very confident that they know a person who fits the description of the suspect.

If he planted DNA, how would they be able to convict a person without a confession? I've made the assumption that the DNA the police have might be from finger-nail scrapings from Brianna fighting her attacker.

I found the body of the entire Dateline NBC story from Friday posted on another site. It is very long, but if those who didn't see it want me to post it in the media section, I will. I could not find a link.

I posted the link in the media section over the weekend.

Thanks Leila, it must be my computer blocking something, because at the end of the article there aren't any comments, but has a statement Read comments, and the link doesn't work. I have to figure out why it's blocked. I even registered with the newspaper and it still doesnt work. any other suggestions?

I know someone who may have done this, but I don't know who to talk to because I already contacted the police and they collected DNA. However, based on his reaction when they contacted him, I am thinking the DNA on which the he police are basing this investigation may have been planted in all three assaults and not belong to the suspect at all. It is possible and, in the past, this man has even told me how easy it is to plant DNA. His height, age, speech, facial hair, body type, tan patterns, clothing, opportunity, behavior changes beginning in October fit the description of the suspect and it terrifies me. So, I was wondering if there is any more information about the perpetrator's truck ... i.e. color, did it have a shell or open bed, more detail about the running boards/bars, loud engine such as an older diesel might make, etc.?

If this guy is a serial rapist/sexual predator, he has to attack again. From what I've read, serial rapist don't stop attacking unless they're arrested, or they move or die.
What's this guy waiting on? And if he's still in the area and in some type of relationship, should his 'partner' have noticed that he was gone at the time of the attacks? Shouldn't she have noticed that someone described her man's truck with a baby shoe in it?
If he was away from home the night of the attacks and he's a shaver, why the heck hasn't his partner called LE???

I remember the btk case and his wife claiming to have never known despite so many clues, even finding a poem with a victim name on it. He did things while she was at work, while he was supposed to be working, and even snuck away from a boy scout camping trip. I believe the Bike Path Rapist was married and she stuck by him after he was caught. These women have to be blind and in denial.

txsvicki,
You're right of course. Not only the btk case but Ted Bundy too. People saw him coming and going in his daily life and never noticed a thing.

It breaks my heart that Brianna's murder is unsolved.

Does the updated description bother anyone else? The updated description is so different, that while this case was in the forefront of everyones mind, the whole city was looking for the "wrong guy". The guy described by everyone involved with this case including,I believe, 5 TV shows, was a rather small person " not more than 6'0" tall", most likely 5'7"- 5'8". Since He was described as "not fat" he would have to be a pretty small guy..

Now he is described as 5'9"- 6'3" with a large and heavy build.
WTF?
Not only that ,but the sketch that matches the changing description is from a crime that has not been proven to even be linked to this one at all(Oct.22) I know that I've mentioned this before, but the official website for Brianna had the sketch up for a couple days early on and then pulled it off for lack of evidence that this was even related.

Both descriptions apparently come from the Dec.16 victim. If so, she was so traumatized and afraid that she just has no clue what this guy looks like, and understandably so. This was undoubtedly the worst night of her entire life. IMO, LE should just let it go. My concern is that it is possible that the killers' SO looked at the sketch and read the description 4 weeks ago and discounted him even though there might have been other reasons to be suspicious.

The "planted DNA theory" is interesting. If this is true, this guy could have an IQ that is off the scale.( I hope not)

From the very beginning of Briannas' abduction I have felt that there is something "weird" or different about this case. I think that if we had the whole story, it would still appear unbelievable. I don't have the knowledge about crime that some of you have, and have no valid reason to feel this way but something is not "right" about this whole thing. Sometimes I wonder if the whole point of all of this was to do away with Brianna for some reason that no one knows about and try to portray that this was some random violence directed at no one in particular. This is far-fetched I know, but in the end the only thing that matters is that the perp is incarcerated and cannot do this to anyone again for whatever reason.

I'm thinking that either LE jogged the December vic's memory, or she came forward and said, "The descriptiong you've been releasing is off." Remember she is in Taiwan now--we have no idea how often LE is in touch with her.
I'll try to find the link if I can, but I believe the description posted in UNR's student paper, The Nevada Sagebrush, right after the December attack described the perp as a "heavy set" man. I think the October victim's , which of course has not been connected to the other cases, description somehow got muddied with this other description from the December vic and we have what we've been seeing in the papers and on TV since Brianna's case started.
But when it comes down to it, I don't know if any of the information released will help a lay person identify the perp. As many on this board and LE have been saying, this man is probably going to be outed by an SO, family member, friend, coworker or neighbor. My chief concern since they found Bri's body has been why none of the above has come forward.

I had brought up yesterday about Brianna having stayed at the Mackay Court residence two nights the weekend she vanished, which Jessica Deal reported to Dateline.

What does everyone else think about this meaning she could have been watched the first night she stayed there, or about having had some form of contact with the perp that first night?

It is possible that the perp saw her the night before. However, it is interesting that abducting her does not seem to have been his first priority that morning.

No, I was referring to the fact that he tried to break into another apartment first.

If he knew Brianna was there, it would be logical that he would focus on abducting her rather than breaking into the other apartment.

There are a couple of exceptions:

1) He looked earlier but Brianna had not arrived
2) The attempted apartment break in related to the abduction of Brianna.

Gotcha. I wonder if he saw her leaving the house that Saturday morning to go back to her mom's and decided to come back that night to check if she was there. I didn't think of the fact that he would have had less of a chance of seeing her at all in Mackay Court the first night, because all of the girls were locked in KT's bedroom.

I really wonder what he wanted from the December vic's house...
