Bring Kyron Home website shutting down

Just coincidentally, the day they posted they were going to shut it down was the same day the RO was filed.

You know, I might very well be wrong, and maybe this was done by MC all along.

I am just worried about spreading rumours about these folks in case I am not.


ETA: I should explain that the reason I am so paranoid is b/c somebody's family name is quite visible in the website, and I don't want anyone drug through the mud, that's all. I will now shut up on the matter. :crazy:

It does look like MC was going to run it, as far as KH knew... I wonder if he is still after today's news...?

Would KH's comments in that article date from after he knew about the sexting, I wonder? And, if so, that would indicate KH certainly forgave him awfully fast... Hmmmm...

The article is dated June 27 and the new court doc says the sexting went on on June 30 and after.

It feels like it's a cold case already and it's less than a month from the disappearance

Very strange. I am an owner for a website for a missing person, that website is our link with the world, and our way to keep the world up to date. I feel you can never give up until that person is found. I found the deletion of the website strange. Or maybe we lean our website more than most.

Not sure if this means anything, but I remember a presser with a reporter asking if there was going to be a reward & the (LE) person kind of smirked or smiled & said they were working on that or it would be determined, but I remember thinking it was very unusual. Given what Emma posted & what we are starting to hear about MC in the press...is there a connection & / or something LE knew back then? Note, Kaine stopped the donations & directed it to LE. You know what they say "follow the money", could there be something here??? If there is evidence of fraud of some kind, LE was all over this way back & will it be part of the evidence IMO!

Things I've noticed:

Website closing down.

Website owned/managed by long-time personal friends of Kaine's.

Any remaining donated funds to go to official fund @ bank - and THOSE monies go to Sherriff's office.

Any questions about Kyron product go directly to Kaine, who has the product.



Thoughts - specualtion - IMO's:

Friend with website honoring Kaine's wishes.

For whatever reason (perhaps he has based his decision on LE investigative information) Kaine think it's best to close this donation website - notifies friend they won't need to produce further t-shirts, bracelets, vigils, etc.

Can't really take donations ongoing without making some sort of non-profit / tax accounting decisions.

Kaine directs donations received but unspent to the Sherriff's office.

Website owner perhaps simply honoring Kaine's wishes about what to do with a donations and a website for a cause that no longer needs donations.

Family is able and prefers to run any such Kyron website in the future themselves, knowing that no one else would be burdened to provide updates, etc. long term, and that as family, they want that burden... (more speculation, but this family could likely do this themselves, should they choose to.)

Wondering if we might see more Kyron sites come down - especially the ones with open comments...

Kaine has legal counsel...will be following advice.

I can't recall where (sorry!) but today I saw the MC who's been sexting with TH & it doesn't look like the SAME person to me as all those pix of MC on the 'Bring Kyron Home' site..I really don't think it's just that his beard is missing either..I'm VERY confused right now!

Maybe but I'm leaning more towards MC has been in on some kind of sting with LE to get TH & all of this is just another piece of that plan..IOW! Kaine must go along & make it look like MC's now the enemy..Kinda far-fetched but then so is this entire case!

There's a lot of evidence in the 'photo' section that a person named 'MC' was in charge of the hanging of banners on bridges which besides the bracelets seems to be the most important function of this group/site..That isn't speculation but it's still not the same as "creating" the site so I def see your point & get why that's off-limits..

IMO it's been credibly proven that he has *something* to do with the site, anyway. He's given interviews about how you can get these bracelets from this site, and it looks like there are photos of someone named Mike who looks like him hanging up banners on a bridge posted on the site which has an update saying "we" hung up banners on that bridge. The site also says that the owners have been planning a vigil and MC has given interviews about planning a vigil.

I don't see the name of the site webmaster anywhere on the site and the site itself refers to a group of individuals who are Kaine's high school friends.

We are friends of Kaine Horman. We went to high school with Kaine and now live in Portland. We are parents of young children

This description fits MC who is said to be one of the few of Kaine's high school friends who live in Portland.

Kaine Horman and Michael Cook, 37, both attended Shoreline High School north of Seattle where they both played football. Cook was one of a few of Kaine's friends from high school who ended up moving to Portland. Kaine had tried to reconnect with him once Cook moved to Portland, but they never did until Cook showed up at their home after Kyron's disappearance.
Along with two others, Cook, who is divorced with a son, helped organize the first vigil for Kyron.

There may very well be other people involved with the creation of the site, perhaps the two others who organized the vigil with him and there are photos of some other people hanging up the banners with him but he's definitely one of the people behind this website.

IMO but 2 plus 2 is 4.

And let me add that there is nothing wrong whatsoever with hanging up banners, distributing bracelets and creating a website for Kyron. It was a very nice thing to do and I'm sure the family appreciated the effort.
