Well there was a case in the UK where they missed a dead body in a loft they searched...

I wouldn't be so sure that a well hid weapon would have been found yet. Is there a river nearby that it could have been thrown in?
There is a swimming pool outside, thus, murder weapon could be underwater, I guess.
IMHO

I guess
the house, yard and swimming pool (empty in winter) were thoroughly searched by Police.

So many questions. Where were the couple's dogs? Where is the murder weapon? What about the hoo-hah over the open garage door? JMO

"Psychological support in place for locals

after deaths of British couple in France.

A psychological support group
has been set up for British residents and locals affected by the deaths of Andrew and Dawn Searle
who were found dead at their home in Aveyron on February 6.

To help local residents manage the psychological trauma of the deaths,
a support group has been set up at ADAVEM 12.

'We have already had around ten people make contact for support.
We do not specifically offer English language counselling
but we will certainly do our best to find a solution.
There is no time limit on this help,
even if people need help for this years from now, we will be there',
said Mr Sévigné.

'It’s free and available to anyone in the department'.”

I find it odd that Dawn was looking to house-sit instead of booking an Airbnb, or hotel?

Were they planning to take the dogs them?

Could be nothing but she only referenced herself as well, doesn’t give the impression they’d be there as a pair……

Or didn't have much money so needed to find a cheap way to stay there? JMO

I wonder if the arguing on the phone was over costs of the wedding and their financial input into the wedding? JMO

I'm sure I read a while back that DS takes trips to visit her son without AS. So maybe she was going to the wedding by herself.

Bit strange taking two hunting dogs to a wedding?

Perhaps not to the wedding but travel with them as opposed to leaving them behind for someone else to look after.

I wonder if ‘hunting dogs’ is more attuned to their breed as opposed to what they are used for. Dog owners will quite often harness breed traits for games; such as if they were retrievers they may use dummy’s for them to retrieve etc.

I am unsure which year this housesitting notice is referring to, its confusing to me.

I read the article as saying that she made a Facebook post last month looking for accommodations for the end of the year. I imagine house-sitting gigs need to be scheduled well in advance, so probably the earlier you post the better.

She was looking for a two weeks stay at Christmas time in Edinburgh. I could imagine that a hotel/Airbnb would get pretty pricey, at least two to three thousand pounds, maybe much more. And the space you'd get is likely to be fairly tiny.

A large, free home trumps an expensive small room, even if one is not in financial difficulty.

Why is she naming herself with the surname "Kerr", I wonder.
Kerr is her first husband's last name.

If she was looking to leave her current husband, she would not wait until December.

The wife is described in some MSM reports as Dawn Kerr.
Many women don't take current husbands' surnames.
If they are known by previous names in career circles,
it is understandable IMO.
A surname is like "trademark" in their professions.

i'm not sure this is something you would do/seek unless you were in financial difficulty. Lots of hotels accept pets.

Why are we assuming the dogs were a factor in looking to house-sit? i've not seen anything to indicate they were but I'm paywalled on some sites.

At certain times of year, Edinburgh accommodation is prohibitively expensive. At other times, merely eye-wateringly expensive.

Was her legal last name Searle I wonder or is the media taking liberty and she still went by Kerr?

If she was legally Searle since marriage strange she'd start using Kerr again or randomly but maybe I'm not getting the name thing right!
