The location is near a group home from which Woods reportedly left on foot, KTVU has learned.

*****
At about 4 p.m. on Sept. 21, a witness reported seeing Woods near 16th Avenue and International Boulevard in Oakland’s San Antonio neighborhood, an area police say is known for sex trafficking.

"That area is known for that, but the main point today is that we bring Amarie Woods home," said Oakland police Officer Behzad Moeinimanesh.

Nora Brantley, an anti-trafficking advocate and sexual abuse survivor, said the area is dangerous, especially for someone as young as Woods.

Why was she in a group home if she was in good mental and physical condition? Was she a resident there, or simply left after visiting someone? The language in the missing report simply says she left a group home on foot.

Here is a map of the area. It looks like just residential but that can be misleading. My Dad lived next door to a group home for developmentally disabled adults and it was in a former family home that from the street looked like any other on the block, except for the extra wheelchair ramps at both front and back doors. 4300 Tompkins Ave · 4300 Tompkins Ave, Oakland, CA 94619
