So her parents tried on star early Friday morning@ 2 am... And her car was found ditched that morning on the 12th .... seems it was ditched in a panic that they were about to be located .. could anyone confirm how on star would notify the driver of the car if the car was tryin to be located?... also back window down. Maybe she had child lock or whoever child locked it as whoever sat there tried to roll down window to open from outside and jump out

I can't confirm but FWIW, I would assume that there is no indication made to or through the vehicle that it's being tracked. I searched OnStar site and all it said was that it uses several satellite GPS to pinpoint the exact location. I could be wrong but I think when they say they tried emergency calls to OnStar it's more like through OnStar, meaning that they call OnStar and then the company connects them to the vehicle like a phone call via the speakers.

Got it. Now in wonder if AM and JR were in the car when those calls were being made [emoji20]

The reason I don't think this was random is because of 2 adults have vanished without a trace. The car showed no sign of foul play. The phones have no unusual pings. Jon looks like large guy and I don't see him being easily overtaken with no sign of a struggle or some shred of evidence being left behind. This is 6-7 weeks these 2 have been gone. Someone committing a random crime of opportunity isn't going to be able to be that flawless for this long that police haven't found something. From what LE has released it seems like someone who knew enough about the 2 of them to cover/attempt to cover up things.
I just hope LE is really following up on any possible leads w that storage unit she worked at or any people Jon knew or even friends of friends that may have gotten him involved with someone that would hurt them. I want to think they could still be alive, but with so much time gone and no sign I feel really sad about this case. I am hoping LE has info they are withholding and they are not as in the dark as so many that want these 2 returned. Still considering the informant theory because of how little evidence seems to exist.

I can't remember if this was already mentioned but looks like Riverside County Sheriffs Dept has taken over the case according to KMIR.

I have to believe that LE has information they aren't releasing, especially regarding Jonathan's whereabouts earlier in the day. Specifically who he was with. If not, it's pretty disheartening that they can't figure that information out. I have a gut feeling that who he was with/where he was has a huge role in this case.

If they freaked and ditched the car where it was located because of on star it would make sense that their scent was by the location of the car whether they were kidnapped or (sorry to say this) their bodies were moved and thats how the scent got there in the first place, they could have been moved to another car but i find it odd that no one else driving by noticed and just hasn't spoken.

Correct. I imagine it would be fairly easy to confirm or deny whether he was ever in Brawley. I think the LE knows. I think if LE had zero leads as to what happened to him at his last known / confirmed location that it would be broadcasted..."Last seen at X in Brawley or Y in Coachella, call tip line"

But LE silence on confirming the Brawley trip. This is for a reason.

Oh wow, I just looked back at this article and realized that it's not only RCSD but specifically their Central Homicide Unit that is taking over. Hmmm....

My gut is telling me they are sitting on some information. If they really have no clue I doubt Homicide would be handling the case. LE often times don't like handling adult missing persons cases simply for the fact that they can dedicate resources and time - sometimes years - to finding someone, when a lot of the time the person(s) voluntarily decided to go off the grid or leave their lives behind for whatever reason. So to have the homicide department assigned to this case, in a largely populated southern California county full of crime and murders, it makes sense to me that they have some lead or evidence that suggests there was foul play involved. Just my opinion, sadly.

Hello, everyone. I'm a new comer onto your community. Thank you for being a matured civil crowd when it comes to discussing this case. I've been following this case since it broke out on the 13th. My grandmother was really ill the month before and stayed ill till she passed recently, and this case became somewhat of a distraction from it all. So during this whole time I've researched the case extensively, I've monitored consistently on the find Audrey Moran page on facebook. I have a ton of mental notes, such as the timeline of events according to news sources, police statements, <modsnip>. I've caught up with the thread and I must simply say, that all of you are great thinkers, very thorough in your thoughts and theories. I've also paid attention to the locals from both Brawley and Coachella, thank you for that information. Everything is vital to finding someone, from the time and weather of when they disappeared to the what was the last thing they said to a person prior to their disappearance. I will be posting again with my observations and theories. <modsnip> Well everyone, thank you for welcoming me aboard. Let's see if we can collectively find them.

I'm assuming everyone is now familiar with the timeline of the case. One thing I've noticed is there's not much information on the beaumont area. I've been to beaumont on various occasions, if you're going canyon carving, redlands to beaumont to yucaipa, is a definite "track" to hit due to the consistent canyon connections between redlands to beaumont and oak glen to yucaipa from beaumont. The area at night time is very desolate, lonely and it gives you the goosebumps. I can also concur that the area of beaumont is heavily monitored by police at night. I've been followed by CHP and PD due to my vehicle, it can become a very stressful situation when you're trying to avoid a ref ticket. I wouldn't want to deal with the automotive refs. Yes, beaumont like most cities has a bad side to it, drug busts, shootings, stuff like that. But what brings into question into mind and most definitely answers a question is when was the Audrey's car dropped off? According the picture of her vehicle up on the side of the road, there's not a single citation slip or any kind of slip that would say CHP or anytype of LE, made contact with the car. Does that mean that this vehicle was dropped off prior to LE citing it or did an officer see it and decided to make contact on his second time around? If so, did OnStar contact LE with the vehicle's location prior to the 2nd time around. If so this gives a timeline, one that can be used to further track the vehicle on highway cams if they are available. I have more notes on the car, such as estimated MPG, but that won't be helpful until we learn how much fuel was actually in the vehicle when found. I'll be posting again in a few. I know I'm somewhat vague, but a lot has been already discussed and there's really no point to be going in circles.

Hello again.
<modsnip>

Then there's the infamous mysterious friends of JR, no one knows who they are or perhaps they don't want to say who they are for reasons that could result in death or bodily harm. Theory, is that JR perhaps did have some illicit business in Brawley, recent searches show that Brawley is not the "old man" area someone claimed it to be. The city has been rated in violent crime and property crime, but with the area around it being so widely opened and lonely, kind of sets it up for crimes being committed outside the city. Calexico, not to far from Brawley is also another border town that is not so nice.

So, let's play this theory out, JR contacts AM, the rendezvous is within the coachella valley, the party with JR betrays JR and takes AM and JR into AMs vehicle, JR might've disclosed the information of AM's sister knowing of their intended whereabouts, and the party sends the picture to the sister, just to throw off any questioning about AM's well being for the night. They hold them hostage for a day while they clear out the smoke in their planning, JR and AM are placed in AM's car up to the drop point. JR and AM are forced into a waiting vehicle and thus, they disappear never to be heard from again. The dog probably picked up JRs scent because he could've been sweating or leaving bodily fluids that AM did not. Maybe that's why there's nothing to trace AM there. I understand JR is a big guy, but when you're getting into a fight with multiple people, you take the big one first, the rest are then easier.

That theory sounds reachable

I'm not trying to write long post, so I'll be posting medium lengths.

Another scenario, a dark one. Could be that JR and his party met up with AM, then things went bad. AM and JR got into AM's car with a gunman getting into the back seat, nervous, JR began perspiring and sweating, held hostage under warm conditions, who knows where, JR is filled with sweat, the early mornings of 12th AM and JR are separated, individuals get into the AM's car with JR and then they drive towards the drop off point. Once there fearing AM is now dead or she might be in grave danger, JR makes an attempt to freedom, but is quickly recaptured and forced into an awaiting vehicle. Their disappearance lies heavily on JR and his activities prior to and on those days.
