Depending on where their starting point in Bullhead/Laughlin area yes. If they came down 95 and crossed over the bridge to the Needles Hwy at the Avi there is a big Casino there and I'd imagine that also have cameras. In the Bullhead area there are many stores/gas stations that would potentially have cameras that would catch road traffic. It is odd that we have never heard where they started from that day, what their plans were after their stop to hike in a bikini with beer, what their final destination was that day. Very odd indeed.
Needles Hwy is one of the worst highways in the area, one lane each way and potholes. Going straight down 95 to Needles and catching I40 would of been the easiest way to go with a 5th wheel.

I would like to ask Dbdb11 why Barb went alone to vist the first time , and why again alone the missed time? Was it a financial reason? Was it because Robbie had to stay home due to work?Did the family pay for her airfare?

The 15 goes straight to Vegas. That is the highway that Kelbaker Rd hits to the north.

ok, my road was wrong but Robbie's reasoning still fits according to him.

It’s so hot in the Mojave desert, I pray she’s found safe.
I would think going for a hike in the desert starting out early morning would be a better than 2pm. Did he take a snapshot of
her before heading out? This would show the time they left for the hike.

To me it looks like a more inclusive “hug” including the woman between them. I’m guessing she’s a relative, as this looks like a family pic. Doesn’t look fishy to me at all.

Another poster suggested that BTs reach indicated her affection for BT. Imo, maybe, maybe not. Maybe she just smoothed his hair for pic, left her hand at his collar? That & others are just possibilities.
Agreeing, @Stripehaven, does not (necessarily) look fishy.

arranged her own ticket and paid her own airfare i believe, doubt anyone on this end ever pried into why Robbie didn't come. it is a long way and a lot to ask. i travel a fair amount and i.cant make that trip but once a year usually, money wise and time away from the rest of my life-wise. for most people not a easy trip to make.

will ask if a reason was given.

Someone contact the NSA and have them look at their satellite footage to see where BT actually went that day after leaving RT's side.

Easy peasy japanesey!

JMO

It's funny you say that. I actually found a website that, for many areas, show a history of daily satellite photos. Unfortunately, this area is only over a week or month (I forget which) period of time, so it was useless in this case.

In which case they would have passed multiple points which would have had security cameras that may catch road traffic.

Frankly, going to "abduction" seems strange to me. Getting picked up by concerned strangers...much more likely. My parents never picked people up when they traveled, except in the desert. Single women, children, they picked them up. They then taught me never to do that. But people still do it. If Barb was upset and by the RV, and if RT's estimate of how long she was there is off...I could see that happening.

Could it turn into something more sinister? Sure. But a traditional abduction might not have taken place, it's possible she was offered a ride in an air conditioned car and went for it. She would surely have contacted other family members by now, though.

A whole lot of forensic questions I'd ask, if I could, such as Barb's relationship with alcohol, whether she was known to go on benders, etc. Since it seems she wasn't into SM and did not usually have a cell phone or go on the internet, she might not even know that a huge search had been conducted. Surely she would have reached out to her brother (if she had his number memorized). Did she? I'd want to ask RT what numbers she knew by heart.
IF everything happened exactly as RT described, (the two of them went for a 1 mile out/1 mile back walk in the desert, he stopped to take a photo on their way back to the RV, she was walking in the direction of the RV/road), it might seem logical to him that she was abducted. To us, it seems like a remote possibility because 1) the time window is quite narrow, 2) the road is not well travelled, and 3) this theory depends on a nefarious individual happening along this lonely desert road at precisely the right moment to be able to abduct BT. I took it as she was feeling Happy at that moment and wanted to connect that moment with him”

@oceanstarryeyes
Yes, absolutely, agreeing, she could have been happy, wanted to connect w him.
I just think that is not the only possible interp, jmo.

What was the word that he uttered so far that has raised a red flag with you? If you mean everyone includes yourself, that is.
I can't answer for the OP, but what raised a red flag for me was RT characterizing himself as the "prime suspect". it's not a term that LE uses, and implies that a crime occurred when this is a still a missing person investigation. MOO

That fact means nothing in and of itself.

Especially since we don't know when or where BT actually went missing.

He would have reported her missing whether he's involved in her disappearance or not.

To do otherwise, would give the immediate appearance of guilt.

JMO.

It was you who said:

"A husband and wife go into the desert.
Only the husband comes out.
It is what it is.
What it is, is sketchy."

Other Possible reasons people go missing, Vegas style:

1). A contract mob hit for offending someone
2). A kidnapping as a warning to someone
3). Must disappear for their own safety (witnessed something)

How far away was he from her? A half mile? You could hear someone who was a half mile away! Wow
What if at their age, one or both of them had hearing loss?
