CA- Body (IDd as Celeste Rivas Hernandez) found in vehicle at Hollywood tow yard, abandoned Tesla registered to singer D4vd – 8 September 2025 #2

I too thought this. Getting in the frunk herself but I didn’t want anyone to think I was blaming her so thank you.
RSBM - I hope nobody thought I was blaming her - if my scenario did actually happen, I'm sure that wasn't her intent. Kids and teens do some wild and odd things for a variety of reasons, one of which is the fact their brain hasn't fully developed like an adults, so they make different choices sometimes. No blame on Celeste at all.

What does "reportedly confirmed" mean, though? Did they confirm it or not? I have yet to see a direct quote from LAPD from any kind of press release or interview. I simply cannot find a source. Though, it is concerning that Law and Crime is reporting this now. I was hoping it was a baseless social media rumour... I'm starting to wonder if it's true. MOO

It does make sense that this is from an old statement from LAPD, which has been twisted weeks later because still no charges filed. I'm hoping it is as you say: a "no charges RIGHT NOW" type of thing. To me, it seems like they're just repeating what is fact: no charges have been filed. We know this. What they haven't said, definitively, is that no charges WILL be filed. IMO it's irresponsible for these outlets to be implying that. I keep reminding myself that, at the end of the day, LAPD have assigned the robbery and homicide unit to this case. That means something - not much, but something.

Even 'reportedly' is 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬. You can read the story all this is spinning out of here. The KTLA Times asked the police for an update and got told there wasn't one look at their last statement.

The last statement being:
“The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner has not yet determined the cause or manner of Ms. Rivas Hernandez’s death. As such, it remains unclear whether there is any criminal culpability beyond the concealment of her body.

RHD is thoroughly examining every aspect of this case to uncover the truth and seek justice for Celeste Rivas Hernandez and her family.” (Sept. 29)

The KTLA article makes a few speculations and information on how concealing an accident death in California is only a misdemeanor, and only if an overt act was done to conceal it (like moving the body.) But it does not frame this as the police now saying no significant charges will be filed.

That seems to have been spun up by idiots reframing that article online as 'omg police say no charges will be filed.' Which has been picked up by clickbait 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 news sites Most of these reports only give that impression in the headline and cop to the actual situation in the article, but some of the lazier ones who are re-reporting based off those clickbait headlines are full on framing this as the are police now indicating it's not a murder. Including Law and Crime which is frequently guilty of content scraping internet headlines, throwing in a 'reportedly' or 'allegedly' while doing no fact checking. They themselves advertise how they're half AI scripted these days.

Really exposed the quality of the online news cycle these days and how none of these 'news' sites are writing their own articles, just playing telephone re-reporting each others headlines. This misinformation bubble spun up in 24 hours based on literally nothing. No new information, not even a misinterpreted new police statement, literally the absence of one.

Steven Fischer might be a messy clout chasing mfer but he does the boots-on-the-ground PI stuff well enough. He is keeping the story in the news with his little info dumps and that's keeping the focus on what happened to Celeste.

Hopefully the continued publicity and public attention on this story keeps the pressure on the police. So that even if the medical examiner does not definitively rule it a homicide. They still feel they have to investigate the relationship with D4vd and what led up to her death and final resting place.

Even if he's not a murderer she was still his victim and he should be prosecuted for stealing her life before she was grown.

I have a horrible feeling the longer this goes on, the more likely it is to get brushed under the carpet. (I really hope I'm wrong).

I just cannot get my head around the police finding a body in a bag, inside a trunk, decomposed so badly it took a week to ID and had fallen apart, the police ask the person who owns the car and they're like oh yeah that's my under age girl friend, she died so I just put her in the trunk and left her to rot and the police are like "oh ok." Like WTH?

So I can have a decomposing body in the trunk of my car and then just be free to go about my life as normal no questions or repercussions?

Alot of people moaning about Steve F but he seems to be the only one campaigning for justice for celeste and really looking into this. Even if DAB didn't actually kill her, he lured her away into a lifestyle a 13 year old should not be exposed to. IMO.

I think we all thought there would be some information/video from the car that would be helpful... and phone information.

Yes, exactly! I thought Tesla cars were kitted out with about 8 cameras and are like a computer with all the data they hold? I found this Tesla article with a bit more info but one thing I'm not sure of is...are these features enabled as soon as you buy a Tesla and you have to manually disable them? Or the other way around? You have to manually set up all the security and cameras yourself after buying/leasing it?

we do not know how the car was programmed... if anything was erased.

FWIW, an operational car is supposed to have a button to allow a person to get out of the frunk:

Front Trunk

An illuminated interior release button inside the front trunk allows a person locked inside to get out. A button inside the front trunk with an image of a car ...

what happens if the person is impaired or the car needs to be charged.... I dunno. BTW, we were told that the car was moved... was it charged periodically? By whom and where?

Yes that's what good point,in order to move the car they would have to keep it charged and neighbours reported the car being moved several times along the street before being towed.

I could not agree more. Every time I think of this case, it seems completely absurd that no arrest(a) has been made. If a dead body was found in the trunk of my car, I am 1000% positive I would be in jail under some kind of charge while a more thorough investigation was conducted to bring further charges. I cannot fathom a scenario in which a dead body is found in my car and I am not in jail pending further investigation. I know you need to actually charge someone to hold them, but in this case I think they have ample evidence of things like kidnapping, statutory rape, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and probably a dozen other things they could charge with pending further investigation.

It is absurd that there hasn't been an arrest in this case.

I am playing Devil's Advocate here but presumably since d4vd is a celebrity with handlers, servants, and a whole entourage the suspect pool is larger than the average Joe. So the argument "if a body were found in my car X, y and z would happen" doesn't hold up by comparison.

The statutory charge seems hard to prove without a witness or physical evidence.

But the kidnapping charge seems easy to prove in this case.

Just my two cents.

Kidnapping maybe... but potentially a charge for interfering with lawful custody? It's usually much broader and includes *any* adult knowingly harboring a runaway or otherwise missing minor against their parents will. No coercion, force or literal "taking" required.

Imo ofc.

Would you rather have an early arrest that falls apart or a later arrest that holds up?
when multiple people have access to the crime scenes (the house, the car, etc.) the investigation is bound to take longer.
There could be multiple people involved - maybe someone supplied drugs, someone else concealed the death, another moved the body, etc.
I'd rather it be done right than fast.

  • #357
I think its possible that there's a lot of digital evidence to check from multiple people, so that also takes time.

BOOM there it is! FINALLY!!!!

Seinfeld gif. Jerry Seinfeld as himself, Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Elaine, and Jason Alexander as George in Jerry’s apartment, tapping their feet in celebration. They scream and raise their hands up as if the best thing ever has happened.
