"The singer D4vd has been identified as a suspect in the death of Celeste Rivas, a teenager who went missing and was found dead in the singer’s Tesla in September, Los Angeles police department sources told NBC4 Investigates."

I dunno. There's always a chance of that, but when we first learned of this I figured it would take several months to build a case. All the forensic stuff, autopsy, digital analysis, video, interviews, etc. It's also complicated by the amount of people in the circle who could have some involvement/knowledge.

Yes. Hopefully an airtight one, even if it’s taking a bit of time.

I'm surprised they think she was killed in the spring. Weren't there friends who claimed to have been in touch with her (via phone/social media) until late July, early August of 2025?
I remember reading about her commenting or posting even in the summer. I believe people mentioned discord but it could have been some other social media site. If that is the case and she was gone in the spring, then it would show someone was pretending to be her, which could also help investigators. It would suggest there was knowledge she was gone and someone was trying to pretend she wasn't.

I can't imagine the data investigators have to sort through. It seems both Celeste and d4vd had a massive online presence so I'm sure it's painstaking to sort through all the various platforms and their digital trail.

The investigation into the death of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez has taken a new turn, with rising R&B singer D4vd now being considered a suspect in her death. KTLA's Jennifer McGraw reports on Nov. 18, 2025.

Where is David presently? Anyone know?

I'm surprised it's taken this long, but better late than never.

I’d not seen this information from your link. Posting for anyone else that missed it:

Private investigator Steve Fischer previously told the Daily Mail that he had recovered strange items from inside the home that served no clear domestic purpose.
'There were multiple of these items that could all be used together... [that] you'd never need in a Hollywood Hills home. You'd be more likely to find them on a farm,' he said.

I hope that David Anthony Burke hates the prison outfit sooo much.

All imo

This is the best news! I'm so glad police are still investigating behind the scenes. Celeste deserves justice. To think she was in that car for months while DAB and his cronies carried on life as normal is quite chilling and shows clear lack of regard for poor celeste. I'm really hoping after this development it will only be a matter of time before there is an arrest.

Oh and the night trip to SB is interesting...I'm guessing police tracked his phone data rather than the Tesla data because anyone could of been driving the car but the news reports linked above state DAB took a trip in spring 2025 to SB in middle of night. I wonder if the plan was to dispose of her there but it became apparent that disposing of a body is not as easy as it seems in movies etc. Does anyone local know what the ground would be like at that time of year?

IMO nothing has changed. unidentified LE "sources" have said LE views D4vd as a suspect in a possible homicide. Duh. Toxicology is still not back yet and the ME hasn't issued a determination of MOD/COD. That hasn't changed. The only new thing according to the anonymous source inside LE with "knowledge" of the case is that LE think Celeste died in the spring. Well we already knew this thanks to excellent sleuthing done in this case and the timeline that sleuthing suggests.

LE hasn't officially named him a suspect but everyone with eyes knows that is exactly what he is and has been this whole time. So yeah, nothing new here. MOO

I'm not understanding how LAPD can say there was (only) a head and a torso and the ME said there was a shh tattoo on the finger of the body found in d4vd's frunk??? Hands don't grow out of heads or torso's! They are attached to arms which are attached to torso's.

The remains of Rivas Hernandez, her “head and torso,” according to the Los Angeles Police Department, were discovered on Sept. 8 SOURCE

AND

The medical examiner said that the woman was 5 feet 2 and 71 pounds and that she had a tattoo on her right index finger that said “Shhh...” SOURCE

According to Merriam-Webster - https://www.merriam-webster.com › dictionary › torso - The human body apart from the head, neck, arms, and legs

I've never believed that initial reporting. JMO. They also identified a bracelet and what she was wearing when discovered both top and bottom. Tube top and black leggings to be specific. No mention of shoes though.

The back that he isn't cooperating with LE is new and HUGE.

I would guess the night time trip to the middle of nowhere to be either an attempt at disposal, or maybe a need for a larger "workspace" for some aspect of dismembering (maybe with some of whatever that machinery is that was in his house). Ick

I don't get it. Many many out of the way and isolated places behind Santa Barbara, I know the area. If Celeste was deceased at the time, or even killed then, or dismembered there, why on earth come back and store her in his own car, parked in front of his own residence?
Had she been buried there, and put somewhere in the unfrequented side of Lake Cachuma, she would likely not have been found.

JMO, maybe they both went out there alive, something happened, and instead of leaving her there, or calling 911, or driving to an emergency room, he took her home. Panic, or no cell service, or not wanting to be implicated, or whatever irrational crisis reaction. He put her in the frunk because he couldn't face driving sitting next to a body, or he was afraid someone would see it on the way. Maybe he told himself he'd deal with it back in town, or in the morning. But he put it off, and it wouldn't take very long for the problem to be seemingly insurmountable. An accident (possible, benefit of the doubt here) immediately reported is one thing, a decomposing body that you removed from the scene is quite another. JMO.

I suspect a lot of killers get paranoid about leaving the body somewhere outside of their control. Yes, if you get caught it’s hard to explain, but they think if they can keep it safely in or on their own property they won’t get caught. It may not be logical, but guilt can make people do stupid things.

If this guy is in Texas presently, with his family, I hope he's being surveilled. I'm sure he's keeping up with the developments. He also, I believe, has enough money to take off, plus a lot of connections in other countries.
