He got a three million advance at 17. Since then he has completed two tours, opened for SZR, released two EPs, an album and had some extremely successful singles. I can imagine he's cleared or is close to clearing that debt. Unless he hasn't been paying it down with tour money and was depending on his album - you would hope sales have been rather heavily impacted by recent events.
Also, rather grimly, his streaming numbers jumped significantly in the months after Celeste was found. Demonstrating that name recognition is everything and there's no such thing as bad publicity. He's still got 33m monthly listeners on Spotify alone. Totting up his streaming numbers, rough maths would indicate his music has made over a million per month since.
Of course he will have label/collab/ management splits, taxes, debts, and whatever he owes for his cancelled tour etc etc, so he won't be getting all over that, but he gets a chunk.
His parents seem the sort to make him put some of it away rather than blow it. He had at least one property because he transferred it to his mother's name.
TLDR He's no Diddy, but he ain't poor and unfortunately he'll have that streaming money, which even low-end is likely $100k+, hitting his account every month, despite everything.
