So this child went missing in April 2024 from Lake Elsinore, CA. Her mother claims the girl had a boyfriend named David? At 13? Is the bf David the same man as D4vid? Or was someone catfishing her? but then how would she end up dismembered in the artists frunk a year and a half after going missing?

I want to know more about this bf. I want to know what mom was told about this boyfriend. I want to know if this child was trafficked and if so by whom.

Agree, the mother would know whatever her daughter had told her or what her social media revealed after she went missing IMO. Googling to try to answer my own question here but in the meanwhile, HAVE authorities confirmed the body is that of Celeste? I know what the TMZ headline says but the article doesn't really make it clear that authorities HAVE indeed ID'd the victim as Celeste.

Sounds like TMZ has identified her as such, but nothing official from LE or ME?

I am also curious about the alleged tip TMZ got. Why would the tipster go to TMZ and not LE? Because TMZ pays for scoop (MOO). Sound as if:

1. an unidentified tipster calls tmz
2. tmz calls C's mother - asks her questions about C (such as did your daughter know anyone named David?) describes what authorities have said about the remains, mom says yep that could be C and btw C had a boyfriend named David.
3. tmz calls in a tip to homicide.

Am I following this correctly?

According to the mother's FB, CR went missing twice before April 5, once on February 14 and again on March 18. On one of those occasions, the mother was told her daughter was in Mexico.
Sad that her case was never entered into NamUs. Maybe it would have gotten more attention.

Poor girl didn't even make it to 15.

Their work, although obviously not done altruistically, led to a quick positive identification of the decedent (if their reporting is to be believed). I think that's a good thing.
