And on a personal gripe....She was only 14 years old when she was killed, if coroner's presumed time of death is mid-August. She will always be 14 years old...that will never change for me. Just because someone finds a 14 years old body 10 years later, the victim will still be 14 years old, not 24 years old. Right? (Her death could have been even earlier if the vehicle was garaged out of the sun and heat.)
On paper they would be considered 24 because that's when death would have been pronounced unless there was a definitive indication of when they had actually died (this is how the state of Arizona lists migrant deaths in their public records, for example).
