If the Google street view images I've seen are of the actual house, there is a 3 car garage/1 garage big enough for 3 cars right on the street. That might indicate a lot of people/cars were at the house regularly, or that somebody didn't want the car stinking up the garage and home.

Or that people who live in these expensive homes often have multiple expensive vehicles that they like to keep garaged...

Another thought:
the Tesla Model X's cabin air intake is located in the frunk, where a large filter housing is situated beneath removable panels at the back of the frunk area.
No one is moving that car once a body is in there surely since the air supply for the vehicle comes through the frunk.

I haven't kept up with the tech, but are these cars self-driving or can they be moved remotely with no one in them? That sounds silly to me, so sorry if it is, but you never know what cars today might be able to do!

That is beyond my comprehension too.
It would be good if anyone could confirm, if so, a user would have to be logged surely.

Missing trim of wheel arch could be indicative of running something/someone over and it being torn off or damaged if the obstruction was caught up?
Or maybe it was taken during it being examined?

The photos are from when it was documented as being parked too long, before it was towed.

I also notice an odd coloring on the road around where it's parked, and on the front wheel. I'm curious what it could be. There's clearly lots of pollen present, but... pinkish? I have zero idea what it could be, it just caught my curiosity.

I think just a theory based upon the sources. The talk of dismemberment came from sources in the impound lot, not from LE or coroner. So it may have just looked like that to first witnesses so they talked about it, not LE.

And wasn't it figured out that the weight of the remains (71lbs, I believe) would correspond closely with what the weight of her 120lb (when alive) body would weigh, in a severely decomposed state, with all body parts present? Or at least not rule out it being intact, but highly decomposed, remains?

Fake IDs are very expensive, esp college ones. and if you look at celestes face, you can tell that she looks like a child and not a college student.

I think her boyfriend would have paid for the fake IDs so she could hang around with him.

And even 14 yr olds can glam up and will look 17 or 18 or more, when wearing make up and 'older' style clothing. IMO

On the note of mental illness, I saw videos of him talking about his songs being prophetic and he subconsciously lives them out.
So his album is titled "withered", was she intended to be found withered?

Where I am, it's not uncommon to see Teslas driving without front plates, I think it's more uncommon to see a Tesla WITH front plates, even in states that require them. It's a style preference that a lot of people will risk the ticket.

I did notice the front wheel arch missing on the other side too and a scrape on the back door.

Sideswiped reversing out of the garage maybe?

It does appear that the vehicle wasn't a prized possession. Dusty, damaged, left on the street without much care about it being towed, and used as a device to hide a body. I assume David had another car he used as his main vehicle more recently?

Its interesting to see here in these listings photos and descriptions of the property that answer some questions for me so you all might appreciate the links.

Also noted when having a look at the property on maps that there are two different teslas parked out the front in May 2024 in similar condition to the tesla featured in CRs case, along with a white BMW, all three have no front plates, but all three have back plates. It could be a style thing but I still find it super interesting.

Well color me shocked but apparently the LAPD Captain believes that CR was found in the trunk of the car and the car was parked in the same spot for several weeks it is likely that CR has sadly been dead for several weeks before she was discovered.

I don’t know if I necessarily agree with his rationale but I will admit if I wrong. It just my understanding that decomposing human remains would have a distinctive smell if not by the first 24-72 hours after death then certainly 3-10 days later when decomposition enters the bloat and putrefaction stages. Additionally, the odor is said to be pungent and porous and only grows worse over time, especially in the heat and humidity.

However, my none of the neighbors who spoke to the PI noted any foul odors nor did the one who spoke to reporters on ABC and lived only 50 feet from where the car was parked.

My money is on her being killed/dying around the end of July, early August, when all contact she had with friends and family stopped. David's tour started the 5th of August. Co-incidence, or part of the reason she was killed, if indeed she was killed, and by him? A thought spurred by a different case, a man was murdered and dismembered (not that we know if CR was or not), the female killer froze those parts, then buried them.
With that in mind, if a body was frozen, then placed in a trunk, would that inhibit odour at least until everything melted?
