*title should says washed up on the banks of the Sacramento River*

This poor man's body washed up on the banks of the Sacramento River beneath a bar called 'The Chart Room', about 1/2 mile north of the I Street Bridge.
His head and arms were missing. His right leg was still on but the foot was missing. Some of his left leg was still on.
He was very decomposed, and is presumed to have died 9 months prior.
Very little could be determined about his appearance, and he was unclothed.

"(...) They said preliminary tests indicated there was no foul play."

Thank you, these partial remains cases are never clear if they came apart naturally or if they were dismembered so its useful to know it was no foul play. I wonder if he was a suicide?

Or an accidental drowning. A fisherman maybe?

Anything's possible really. From the looks of it I don't think they have DNA. I feel so bad that this was all that was left of him. I hope they will find his skull at some point. Maybe they did find the skull later but couldn't link them as the same person? So sad (PS what does BBM mean?)

Yes, it could be another part of him... I was just on NamUs searching for other remains found in the Sacramento River.
There's another male whose head was not found: The National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs)
The 1973 one is peculiar. I wonder what parts were found in his case, since he has a more specific age range than the 1970 discovery, despite being more decomposed apparently. Maybe there was still some of his jaw attached or something?
And he doesn't have a thread? I may make one, but I like to wait a while after I've posted a thread to post another one.

According to this article, the arms and head were gone.

I'll start a thread for him, if you don't mind. :)

ETA: autofill failed me.

Thanks!
I edited my post. The autofill failed me... "arms and head"! ;)
Haha no worries, I'm going down the rabbit hole and a lot of unidentified body parts were found in the Sacramento River. There's another guy found there that I'm about to make a thread on.
