UPDATE!! I contacted the Port Orford Chamber, nice gal answered, we talked for a long time. She had not ever seen the prior email I sent, so I forwarded to her as we spoke. She had no idea there were sightings or even a missing person potentially in the area. After a bit, she did recall a news story, after seeing the Find Bryce page - she said, Oh, I remember that. She ALSO RECALLED SEEING A DISTINCTIVE LOOKING YOUNG MAN WITH RED HAIR, DIRTY, WALKING THROUGH TOWN. This was a couple of days ago! She is notifying all of the merchants via email, sending story and links, and asking all of them to LOOK FOR BRYCE, PRINT THE POSTERS AND POST THEM IN THEIR WINDOWS. I have notified via message to Brian/ Laspisa family through FB, and included phone and names, etc. The gal was very, very nice, and lives not far from a homeless food bank location, so will watch for Bryce there as well. She said he was distinctive looking and that is why she noticed him! :please:

Great job!

I do not know if I personally believe that Bryce is alive or not. But if so, your actions to raise awareness in Port Orford may play a crucial role in bringing him home. Way to go!

Here is a new theory that hasn't been talked about. CA has lots of crime, murderers, sex offenders etc. serial killers etc. This is what led my husband and I to this possibility.

Bryce could have managed to have to get to the road. I would have imagined after the Vyanese and the accident his was quite dazed, disoriented, confused and not in a very good state of mind which could have made him vulnerable, a target for some psychopath, crazy, sex offender driving along who might have offered him a lift. Bryce is a nice looking guy and might have really stood out to a psycho who was looking for a victim. Bryce could be being held with someone against his will or Killed and was dumped or buried somewhere.

Remember the notorious William Bonin the CA killer (freeway killer)? He picked up and brutally tortured, raped, sodomized, killed 21 boys and young men up to age 19 who were hitchhiking or walking to their destination on the CA freeways.

William Bonin - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

http://crime.about.com/od/serial/a/william_bonin.htm

I checked CA Megan's Law website their are 10 registered sex offenders near Castaic Lake 91384. You can click on the blue dots on the map to see the offender profile and charges. These offenders almost always reoffend. I wonder if LE has made contact with them. Bryce could be being held hostage in one of their locations. Maybe they could bring scent dogs.

Always a possibility. The easiest and most logical conclusion, though, is that he was fatally injured and is somewhere in the vicinity where he succumbed.

:welcome: RDW!

BL certainly had a lot of unaccounted for time on that trip!

Wish we had more of the enormous gaps filled in!

No info, that I've read, has been provided to the public about how much gas remained in the SUV post crash. Would certainly be interesting to know!

Yes indeed, here's hoping!!! Now I just want a bunch of searchers and dogs to land in Port Orford and find him, hopefully!!

Absolutely! the sightings need to be ruled in or ruled out as Bryce.

Is it possible he caught a ride or rides from Lake Castaic area north to Port Orford (which is see is around 12 hours away) via an overnight freight carrier?
Is there a freight run up the I-5 from say the ports in LA to somewhere north and he just hopped off in Port Orford?.

For example, here on the east coast there are trucks overnight between Sydney and Melbourne and Sydney and Brisbane.

Are there any family links to the area, grandparents, past holidays, anything?

City website says there is a strong artistic community there with eight galleries.

Snipped for space - just a note to clarify on the BBM item above - IIRC that was later corrected to mean 3:25 AM - somewhere one of the news reporters picked it up wrong. Hope that helps a little bit....

Yes! this is correct! Bryce said in his 1:50am call with mom that the GPS said he would arrive at 3:25am.
Not in 3 hr 25 min. That was a mis-report for the first 2 weeks or so that was really throwing us.

That timing is spot on! One more inconsistency erased.

Let's erase another one. There had been talk in earlier posts about the distance from the car crash and the lake. I have it at a pretty accurate. 796 feet as a crow flies.

Would this pic be accurate? BL turned in to Antenna site. Got stuck or????Then ended up in the car on it's side 300' downslope. I think only two scenarios work here. He is either in the car heading down hill through the brush. Or he is standing next to the tower, watching his car roll down the hill.

Yes - those seem to be the two most likely scenarios given what we know.

I am so hopeful he is out there but I'm one who believes he's in the lake.

As a little girl, I had an accident at the lake near the boat launch. Right when you go down the launch ramp there is a dock to tie up while you wait for the driver to park the trailer.

As I was waiting for my dad to park his truck, my brother and I put our feet in the water. I accidentally fell in when trying to stand up on the side away from the launch on the dock, which is not shallow like the other side and nearly drowned.

I was able to swim up but then couldn't pull myself up because the dock was too high for me grab. Eventually people ran over to help and I was fine, but had this happen when no one was around I'd have drowned.

Also, if he did drown and attempt to get up like myself by holding onto the metal bars of the dock, he could have drowned pretty much underneath the dock, while would prevent his body from floating up.

It was indicated that the point Bryce went down the hill was directly behind the North side of the fence, parallel to Lake Hughes Rd.

The dogs tracked Bryce to the water near Government Cove Rd, which is the dirt trail you end up on going straight down Main Ramp Rd & not turning left into the parking lot. The distance from the top of Main Ramp Rd to the water at the bottom of Gov't Cove Rd is .2 miles (1,056 ft). I would say the car came to rest about 1/4 of the way down Main Ramp Rd to the water, so maybe 750'? Probably a little more.

I had all this mapped out & distances on Pg 1 of thread 2. I just looked & it says I've exceeded my bandwidth. Guess too many people looking at these threads. LOL! I have to see what I can do about that to fix it.

So, what are the medical needs? ty

People on FB are saying its his head injury but yesterday on here someone suggested putting it on there even if it wasn't true to urge people to come forward if they've seen anything.

In my opinion its just a tactic that I don't necessarily agree with.

Yes, I am having a hard time with it since it has been a while. Over a month correct?

Back to the accident,

Could it be possible that Bryce tried to park his vehicle behind the cell tower fence to hide while he slept? Maybe he was just stopped there sleeping with AC and engine running, then somehow bumped the gear shift while sleeping. Car started to roll and he didn't realize what was happening until too late? If this is what happened, I imagine that he wouldn't have been wearing a seat belt while sleeping and he very well could have a concussion from hitting his head on windshield (assuming due to cracked windshield) just a thought.

I tend to disagree. Broken windshield, rolled vehicle and blood in the vehicle to me would mean there is a very likely possibility that he is injured and amnesia or confused so yea, needs medical attention. JMO
