A 1-year-old child was seriously injured Sunday when Stockton police say he was struck by a car that drove away from the scene.

I wonder how a 1 yr old was hit by a car? Were they in the cross walk? Or on the sidewalk.

I'm surprised an adult wasn't hit as well. Usually 1 yr olds are being held or closely alongside an adult in traffic areas.

I hope he recovers soon. Poor little guy.
