Are there any details what her mental state was before the disappearance (upset, mentally unstable, happy, manic, completely normal, etc.)? Or, any ideas of places she frequented or activities she enjoyed (e.g., hiking, paddle boarding)? Did she have any addictions that might lead her to befriend people she wouldn’t normally befriend? Did she wear expensive jewelry, carry expensive purse, etc. that might have attracted the attention of a thief? Was she in desperate need of money?

I know nothing about her so that is why I have so many questions. It would help locals, hikers, etc. to know where to look for her (myself included). I’m familiar with the area and am apart of a hiking group.

For those unaware, a 60 year old missing man (Scott Karsten) was last seen in a very close proximity to where Carroll Dunne was last seen. Scott Karsten was last seen on Friday, Oct. 22, 2021. Carroll Dunne was last seen on Sunday, Dec. 12, 2021. I have the exact same questions regarding Scott Karsten. I have absolutely no idea if their disappearances are related, but it would be worth finding out if they shared any commonalities.

I am assuming Carroll's white Range Rover is still missing and if so is it installed with a GPS and is it operational so as to help in locating Carroll. Its possible Carroll might suffer from dementia which might be one reason for her disappearance.

I thought I saw someone post on Facebook that LE tried to activate her OnStar (or equivalent) and wasn’t able to. I wish I had a reference to provide you so it isn’t just hearsay and you could vet the source. Have you heard she may have dementia or are you listing that as another possible cause? Thanks!

Oh dear, it's not sounding too good at the moment with those updates.

I wonder why her phone was turned off too? That's not a normal thing to do if you're just going around the local store.

if they can't ping her car, I wonder if that means its under water...

Strange case. Seems like she might have left on her own.

$70 sounds a lot for gas BUT, if the tank was next to empty, sounds plausible, like maybe someone is looking to travel.

I wonder if she'd been squirreling away cash for a while. If it was a voluntary absence or she wanted off the radar, she couldn't get too far or be away for too long on only $500.

Such a sad case. There seems like there are many ways to look at this case and what happened. Rest In Peace Carroll. I hope for your family’s sake justice is served.
