Nearly 16 months after a jury convicted him of murdering Cash App founder Bob Lee, Nima Momeni is fighting for a new trial. His attorney will be in court Friday as part of that effort — the latest chapter in a case that has refused to stay closed.

“We are preparing a motion for a new trial based on a number of issues that prevented him from getting a fair trial the first time around,” said Daniel Shriro, the head of Momeni’s third legal team.

Momeni, who has yet to be sentenced, faces 16 years to life in prison.

This guy should have been sentenced a long time ago! By allowing his new attorney(s) to delay the sentencing so long is just ridiculous, IMO! Where is justice for Bob Lee and his family? Now he wants a new trial? I hope it is denied and if his attorneys aren't happy, let them appeal. In the meantime, this guy needs to be locked up and sent to prison. Let him make all the appeals he wants from prison.

Totally agree. Coward afraid of prison? His family has the funds to direct this nonsense while there is no justice in sight. Hopefully it is denied. Its insane what he's been able to do. moo
