Nima Momeni’s preliminary hearing in the Bob Lee murder case is set for today. Momeni’s mom and attorneys as well as lots of reporters and photographers are outside the courtroom.

Is NM's mother the only family member at court today? I wonder if the new defense team advised his sister not to show up. Or if she decided on her own not to show up. Maybe unless her husband could be there with her. He may have been unable to be there today.

UPDATE: Judge Dorfman has ruled that no cameras of any kind will be allowed in the hearing. Moreover, while several people (including Dr. Dino Elyassnia, husband of Khazar Momeni, Nima's sister) have attempted to join via Zoom, Judge Dorfman has ruled this will not be allowed.

That article also reports that the knife appeared to be used, was brand Joseph Joseph (entire block of knives available on Amazon for $80) and that the 4" knife that was the murder weapon was previously used. Defense complained that not all the police work was done. Lee's brother, mother and father were also in court, I believe.
Defense asked a question about why there was cocaine in Bob Lee's hotel room and the LE expert on the stand said there was no cocaine found in Bob Lee's room.
It's still ongoing, I believe.

On the contrary, Momeni and Lee were together in the white car (which Momeni drove to a secluded area instead of to Lee's hotel), and were seen together outside of the car in that secluded area.
And why was Momeni such a wreck when he got home in Emeryville that night? If he didn't do anything. and didn't know anything about an attack, why did he freak out so badly? And didn't the sister show up too later banging on the doors looking for him?

IIRC, earlier reporting on this case stated that LE said the knife that killed Bob Lee was a match for a set of knives that belonged to the sister's residence. So how did the homeless guy get the knife that killed Bob Lee that came from Khazar Momeni's kitchen?
