A defense attorney on NG's show is speculating LE may have "jumped the gun" by arresting Gardner before Chelsea's body was found and they're just lucky she was found. GMAB! Did it ever occur to this lawyer that LE might have some evidence that connects him to Chelsea? :banghead:

There will ALWAYS be sick, disgusting, predators like this . It's up to us to TRY and protect our children as best we can. When we are not with them we need to teach them that all people are not their friend and to trust NOBODY. The laws NEED be changed, these perps NEED to be given more then a slap on the wrist. Drug dealers recieve more time then child predators. Personally imo if people want to kill themselves by abusing drugs that is their choice, but a child does not ask to be victimized, and have their childhood and innocence ripped away, or ask to have their young life be cut short by a sick individual who should have been put away in the first place. If they don't have room in prison for these low lifes, then create a town to put all these creeps and let them violate eachother. Just my 2 cents. May this beautiful young girl R.I.P

Bless NG today for getting the word out that AMBER DUBOIS is still missing. Amber's mother admits she sees the similaries in the two girls, and even in their mothers looking similar. Amber's mother admits she can see how JAG could have killed her daughter, but it will be hard to accept if Amber's dead.

I'm so sorry for Chelsea. I'm sorry she had to live in a world where men who sexually violate children are given a slap on the wrist before being turned loose on the public. How many times does a case like this has to make the news before serious reform happens?

I'd say this has to happen until the body count reaches 'critical mass'. Then people will march on Washington or Sacramento. The pain has to become unbearable before the public rises to action. Sadly, that seems to be our history in the US, and I might add, in all civilized countries. We always want to be 'fair' and 'just', give people a 2nd chance. Do Not count on your congressmen or senators or governors to take action. They haven't done anything yet. Oh, and all the Megan's Laws in the world won't stop a predator. He doesn't read.

And then he came back on Sunday & threw her in the lake! He was captured with muddy pants on Sunday - wet up to the knees. Does anyone else think he did this right under the searchers noses! (he was probably laughing at how clever he was not to be detected.) Fate is so cruel isn't it? Just hours later he was caught. Never to see daylight again - his reward.

There is NO way he got back in there on Sunday. I'd say 99.9999 impossible.

It was secured by police patrol at all access points long before that and there were searchers everywhere there, VERY intensively focused on the area.

Yes. It may help you to think of Lake Hodges as (under) the bridge you cross (on I-15 N), on your way north to Escondido. In recent years, drought conditions have made it marshy at this spot. It is just past Rancho Bernardo, and right before you get to the North County Fair (mall). The city of Escondido (downtown) is a few (less than 10) miles north on I-15.

Lake Hodges defines part of the southern city limit of Escondido. The opposite (southern) shore has a San Diego address. Rancho Bernardo is the northernmost San Diego neighborhood on I-15 N.

Hope I didn't confuse you!

A question: I faintly recall reading the restaurant he was arrested at is also located at Lake Hodge. Is that correct...anyone?

maybe not - but teaching them to fight and how to deal with such situations should they ever arise helps.

As far as a young girl goign up against a big man - well put your girls in martial arts classes.

Educate educate educate - we have to fight back and teach our kids to do the same since our **ahem** justice system isn't getting the job done.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think his vehicle may have been spotted in Ambers case (if he drives a burgandy truck it would be the same one they were searching for in the Walmart molester case, and in Ambers), and also same general area.

Parents - TEACH your children how to fight - AND FIGHT DIRTY - scratching and poking eyes, kicking in the groin and when they bend over a HUGE JUMPING elbow to the back. I taught mine very early on. How to put your keys between your fingers when you're walking so if you have to punch the key points are sticking out.

We have to fight back - our children have to fight back.

We all took self defense a few years ago and yes, bite, kick, scream and
throw sand, dirt, gravel or poke eyes.......eyes are so sensitive.........perp will let go to help his eyes.
I'm so glad his other little victim elbowed him in the nose and got away plus she had his DNA Blood) on her elbow for proof.
