Can someone post the link to the scanner thread here? I can't find it in the first thread. My laptop overheated so I'm in the office on my husband's computer.

Thanks!!

ok, this guy is a piece of work. Still no word from family, friends or co-workers anything?!?! I just cant believe it. No child of mine would even be allowed to step one foot in my house if they were some sorta child molestor. no way.

Someone asked why they dont get stiffer sentence. I think it depends on the state and the laws. The law has to be fair and weighted. You cant give a murder life and give a child molester who hasnt had any priors life too. There has to be a balance. So where do you put them? In some sort of a home for the rest of their life? That too cost money for tax payers. Harsher sentences sure, but how long? If JAG was locked up for 10-15 years for the first offense yeah Chelsea might have been spared but after 15 years who's to say he wouldnt have picked another young lady??

All I'm saying is that there isnt any simple solution to problem that is as old as time. Some commit sexual crimes without ever doing anything violent, so what then? Where do u put them? It's not safe for the masses to have them out in the public so what then? I wish I knew, but I dont.

My mom said she saw his neighbor in Escondido interciewed this AM on local news, but I didn't see it. The woman knew he was a registered sex offender and told her kids that they were not to go near the man. I told my mom that was a JOKE because if this guy wanted her kids, they weren't going to have ANY say in the matter. Just telling your kids to stay away isn't going to protect them.

Sadly, I can say with 99% certainty that he would have picked another young lady....just as I am almost certain he would do again if he isn't locked up for life for what he more than likely did to Chelsea. So, so sad!

Something DIFFERENT desperately needs to be done with these SO!

Updated Link showing press conference at 3p postponed http://www.signonsandiego.com/news/2010/mar/02/suspect-is-linked-to-assault-at-park/

The San Diego County Sheriff's Department previously scheduled for 3 p.m. has been postponed indefinitely.

Gardner’s arraignment is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in San Diego County Superior Court. (Previously 1:30 p.m.)

They are taking advantage of all the time available by postponing until after lunchtime instead of a morning arraignment. They are trying to find that body fast.
