GUILTY CA - Christie Wilson, 27, murdered, Roseville, 5 Oct 2005 *found in 2020*

On Monday, News10 talked to several of Garcia's neighbors. Although no one would appear on camera, opinions varied.
One neighbor said Garcia was friendly, a family man and good with computers.
Others, however, recounted allegations of harassment, threats, and a punching
incident that resulted in a restraining order being issued against Garcia.
Some of the problems, say neighbors, were the result of Garcia's attempts to make changes to neighborhood roads. Public works officials told News10 Garcia always was professional in his dealings with them.

regarding Garcia's job:

Murder suspect Mario Garcia was absent from his workplace for six days after Christie Wilson disappeared, a Placer County detective testified Friday morning.

Detective Ken Addison told Judge Larry D. Gaddis during a preliminary hearing that he spoke with Garcia's coworkers at Sutter Health where Garcia worked in the information technology department. He said the office's logs show Garcia took personal time on Thursday, October 6; telecommuted on Friday, October 7; took a personal day on Monday, October 10; and went into the office briefly on October 11. On that day, Garcia asked for more time off but was denied, according to the detective.

Soo, maybe he did have contact with other hospitals and their employees?

Another thing I've noticed (and yes, I've read hundreds of articles) It appears that Garcia has a mean nature, but can pour on the charm when necessary?

Thanks Chico for your help, NOW just need to figure out where he used to live, before moving to Auburn. I spent days researching Alameda county online archives for info on the rape assualt charges, or even the Oakland bay inccident, thought they'd be in the news somewhere, (thinking if I could find that I could figure out where he used to live.) Not had any luck so far, but not giving up! I guess I have to remember that in '79 online news wasn't an option. Maybe Niner will have heard this info in court.

In regards to his neighbors, ever question why no one would appear on camera? Maybe they felt that if they had something negative to say about him, they'd have hell to pay if he was released - I also think thats why Garcias wife is not talking, thinking theres a chance he'll be back. Fear, plain and simple.

Hello to all involved in this thread. And thanks to Niner for your fabulous court reporting. Since the rain has kept us indoors for so many days, I've been using that time to look into the belief that Garcia has other victims. Searching missing persons sites, news archives etc. I have a couple questions that maybe one of you might remember. I believe Garcia is/was some sort of Lab Technision? but can't locate the original article pertaining to that. Also, does anyone know when Garcia moved to Auburn from the Bay Area? I also remember seeing something in an article in regards to a contracter who had trouble with him (Garcia) when he subdivided his Florence court property, I'm trying to pinpoint that timeline, or at least find that article. I also remember seeing that Garcia owns 4 vehicles, Niner, did the types of vehicles come up in court? I seem to remember they were listed somewhere. a 4 x 4 truck for sure, but maybe a white van? I'd really like to know this for my notes, it might be relevant in other cases. Christies mom obviously feels that Garcias past is important -( and I've learned from experience that a moms instincts are definetly important) regarding her statement on the 1979 kidnap rape charges, and the women who died when his car ended up in the Oakland bay, and I'm sure LE in looking those cases. BUT my belief is if Garcia's job, entittled him to visit or work along side other hospitals, he may have something to do with some missing women who worked at Hosiptals, in Sac, S.F. area and Stockton. of this women, there a few who also had trouble with spouses/boyfriends where the suspicion could be directed away from Garcia. Do you see where I'm going with this? Anyway, I know our priority is finding Christie, but evidence against Garcia might go much deeper than anyone realizes, he may be a seriel killer.

So thank you in advance for any info that might help. (also please note that I now have a better system of keeping my notes straight, because its so frustrating not being able find what I'm looking for! :furious: )
Welcome searchgal ,I agree with your post  and I bet more will come out of this. This man is EVIL

Searchgal, I will have that info in a couple days.

Hi searchgal,

I had posted this info awhile back, but was unable to confirm it at the time because I was only half paying attention to the news. Do you have any written info on the drowning? I had thought I heard it was a girlfriend, or wife. I also thought it was two women who died. Thanks.

I remember reading that a neighbor of Garcias, "thought" it involved a girlfriend".
Another article I read said 2 women also, - a woman and her mother? once again I can't find the exact source of information. I'll check back with you all tomorrow evening, thanks again everyone, maybe together we can put the pieces of the crazy puzzle together.

To check on Garcia's past run-ins with the law you may have to visit the Bay Area. News clips from the 70s and 80s are not on the Web. I'd check the Chronicle archives for the car into the Bay - one woman survived and now lives in Santa Rosa, the second perished. The assault with a deadly weapon charge, which was reduced to a misdameanor involved his girlfriend at the time. Hope this leads you in the right direction.

Thanks - I've been following your postings re: Christie for some time know and decided I should join in. Anyone still searching? Any new ideas about where she could be?

Thanks, do you know if the "kidnap - rape attempt" that christies mom had mentioned is separate from the assualt with deadly weapons charge? Looks like 3 separate things so far, in order, kidnap-rape attempt, car in bay, and deadly weapons charge. I'll recheck the timeline. Thanks again

I just read that the bondage material found in the Spenceville area is not related to Christie....no link and hopefully there will be an article about it.

I don't know where the next set of searches will be held but will update if I hear anything....searched so far: area around the casino, the Spenceville area, 193 from Lincoln to Auburn, the area around Garcia's neighborhood. Those are off the top probably missed a few. Oh yeah, the Dutch Flats area around Colfax....of course now with winter and less foilage some of those areas may need another go over and I think that may be a plan thats in the works.

Happy Birthday Christie! (January 10th)

There was an article in the Auburn Journal yesterday:

Family observes birthday of daughter missing 3 months
28 years old!

Chico - I was just thinking last night after reading this article - as they mention Justine Vanderschoot family - and them missing Justine... could Garcia have buried her WHERE Justine was found??!! now that would be something - right? He MUST have heard about this case!! I wonder if any of the searchers have checked where Justine was buried?

Searchgal! Welcome to WS!!
on your post #262 - you asked if I knew or remembered from the trial if the types of vehicles came up in court... I believe they did, but they were talking so fast... I probably didn't get a chance to write it down! LOL! But I do remember it WAS 4 vehicles - what kind... sorry! Don't know!

Also your post #272 - regarding the accident - no I don't recall them talking about "where" he used to live!
