toally agree with ya concernedperson!

I found this in my local papaer - the timeline for Mario Garcia's whereabouts per his cell records and surveillance tapes:

Oct 4, 2005:
5:25pm - Mario emails his supervisor. He was going to have some "tequila." {my comment: what the flick? why do THAT??}
6:40pm - outgoing call from Garcia's cell phone traced to a tower near the Thunder Valley Casino.
7:07pm - a second outgoing call from Garcia's cell phone traced to a tower near the Thunder Valley Casino
11:27pm - Garcia is seen on a casino video surveillance tape with his arm around Christie Wilson as the two gambled. Garcia reportedly showed no sign of injury to his face.
**
Oct 5, 2005:
1:13am - Garcia and Wilson are seen leaving the Thunder Valley casino on the surveillance tape.
1:19am - Garcia's white Toyota Camry is seen on the surveillance tape leaving the casino parking lot.
{me: wow - that leaves him 6 minutes to "hit", "punch", or "whatever" to Christie and put her in the back seat of his car... or front passenger seat?}
2am - Garcia tells detectives he was back at his Auburn home.
{me: that is about 40 minutes... it takes me to get to my home from my work about a 20 minute drive... I'll have to find out how "far" his house on Florence Court is from my house here in Auburn - I'll let you know...}
7:51am - The Lone Star cell phone tower, near Lone Star Road, near Garcia's home indicates he placed a call from the area.
7:52am to 9:15am - Multiple calls were made from Garcia's cell phone from differing towers in the Auburn area along Hghwy 49. The phone use indicates movement heading south.
{me: just re-reading the article about this timeline - and it says:
Sometime between then (2am) and 10:07am when he was at his office, he has said he was injured while trimming a tree on his property. However, calls from his cell phone indicate that he was traveling in and around the Auburn area and near Sacramento between 7:52 and 9:15am}
10:07am - garcia arrives at work. Co-workers noticed scratches on his face and an injury to his eye. He said he had an encounter on his tractor with a tree limb. Garcia told a nurse at UC Davis medical Center Oct 6 that he fell out of a 15-foot tree on his property Oct 5.
{me: so he was driving his tractor between 7:51 and 9:15am down highway 49 while talking on his cell phone and ran into a tree branch?? LOL! sure dude! :furious:

I SHOULD have gone to the courthouse today - taking today and tomorrow off - as my younger bro from SoCal is driving up! But just didn't get my 🤬🤬🤬🤬 together fast enough this morning! Proably no court tomorrow, eh?

I'm really surprised that Christy's body hasn't been found because the time line seems to pretty well follow each place he went. I can't see how he was home that soon after leaving the casino. I wonder if his wife is giving him an alibi? She either doesn't know what time he arrived home or she is lying for him. Do you think that Christy got into his car willingly? If she was drunk or drugged or both she may have just gone where ever he led her. He had to have planned to have sex with her or what would have been the purpose of even taking her with him? He had to have driven out somewhere and ended up killing her and then he would have to have gotten rid of her body before going home. If he was home at the time he said that he was he wouldn't have had time to do anything but drive home.

So he got himself a bigwig attorney. Well, we know how that can go. Look what happened to Scott Peterson :) Speaking of "Hollywood" I sure don't see him flashing around since that trial :p Talk about making a fool of himself.

I hope this guy doesn't get away with this crime and that Christy get the justice she deserves.

It appears from reading the timeline that the 2am time of Garcia's arrival at home is his claim (not supported by anything other than his word). The question I have is concerning his movements in the morning: Why would he have travelled south of Auburn on Highway 49 on his way to Sacramento? The logical route would be US 80 to work, yet he crossed over 80 and travelled through a very rural area. Very suspicious. I know that the area between Thunder Valley and Auburn has been thoroughly searched, but how much of 49 (particularly the very sparse areas around the American River) have been searched?

I have always felt, (and stated so in a post months ago) that he dumped her body in some rural spot in the Amer. River Canyon (hwy 49). The area is so remote and crossed with many back roads and steep cliffs/ravines. If he just dumped her over the edge or dragged her body into the brush, the coyotes and mountain lions would take care of the rest. I don't believe her body will ever be found, maybe a skull or a couple of bones, but that is what that place is like. Many areas are too steep to be climbed down without ropes and the manzanita and buckbrush is too thick to see anything below it from the air.

Kacer said that blood stains from the back seat of Garcia's Camry had DNA from two people. The major contributor was Garcia, and the minor contributor was consistent with Christie Wilson. According to source close to the investigation the prosecution is trying prove that those samples are the result of Wilson scratching Garcia.

Kacer also testified that biological material that was not blood was recovered from the interior rear driver's side door. DNA results showed that biological material was a mixture of male and female DNA. Kacer testified the major contributor of that DNA was Wilson and a possible minor contributor was Garcia.

The prosecution is expected to rest its case late Tuesday. The defense is planning on presenting just a handful of witnesses. Garcia could be on the stand Wednesday or Thursday.

Start the day at the courthouse, and then drive back to Auburn for my doctor's appt.... oh - decisions, decisions, decisions... I sure would like to be there in the court room when Garcia testifies!!!

I'll have to "see" how this goes! LOL! :)

Defense attorney Robert Blazier picked up where he left off Monday: challenging Department of Justice DNA expert and prosecution witness Shawn Kacer on Kacer’s DNA findings and test results.

~snip~

The prosecution is expected to call one more witness before it rests its case. The defense is expected to call several witnesses to the stand, one of whom could be Garcia himself. In opening statements, Garcia's attorney Ron Peters said his client would testify.

I read one article in the paper the other day - and it said that Garcia's lawyer (Peters) says that NOW Christie DID get into his car in the parking lot... yeah, right, dude!! :loser:

And I agree Shadow - she is probably "somewhere" in the Amer River Canyon... also his wife (Garcia's) has NOT told anyone (that I know of) WHAT time he actually did get home.

Anyone of you going to the trial?? Just curious! I'm really going to try and make next Wednesday! :D

I was going to ask whether the prosecution called her as a witness, but then remembered that she wouldn't have to testify due to being his wife. Darn.

An El Dorado Hills man testified today that he saw a woman he believes was Christie Wilson in the afternoon of October 5, 2005. That would have been after she was seen leaving Thunder Valley Casino with Mario Garcia.

~snip~

When asked how sure he was that the person he saw was Wilson, Pence told the court, "I'm not 100 percent sure. I'm 70-75 percent sure that the person I saw was the person in question."

At one point, when the prosecution team was trying to impugn his statements, Pence asked the judge, "Am I under oath to tell the whole truth?"

~snip~

The first witness Garcia's defense team called was his son. Christopher Garcia, 19 (shown above in middle), told jurors he had never seen a carpet or mat in the trunk of the family's Toyota Camry.

~snip~

His attorneys say he may take the stand in his own defense.

Man I think that people make stuff up to make themselves feel important. That guy who claims he saw Cristy is an idiot. "Am I under oath to tell the whole truth?" say WHAT??? :doh: No that's okay mister, you can just tell us half the truth today.

It reminds me of all those people who "saw Laci" on Christmas eve walking the dog and she was wearing black pants and a white top. Funny how she wasn't wearing black pants when she was found and it was far too cold to walk the dog without a coat, so they wouldn't have seen her top anyway!!!:doh:

Mario Garcia took the stand in his defense Thursday afternoon. His attorney, Ron Peters got right to the point.

Peters asked, "Do you realize you have a constitutional right not to testify?" Garcia answered, "Yes."

Peters then asked, "Did you kill anyone by the name of Christie Wilson?" Garcia testified, "Absolutely not."

Peters: "Did you murder her?" Garcia: "No."

The defense attorney then asked if Garcia kidnapped and raped Wilson. Garcia answered "no" to both. Peters wanted to know if Garcia had anything to do with Wilson's disappearance. "I had absolutely nothing to do with it. Absolutely nothing," Garcia testified.

Peters continued on to the night of October 4, 2005 when Garcia was at the casino. He asked about Wilson.

Garcia said, "She came to my table."
Peters: At some point did you and her have your arms around each other?"
Garcia: "Yes."
Peters: "Did you walk out of casino with Christie Wilson?"
Garcia: "Yes, I did."
Peters: You saw video of you two leaving ... "
Garcia: "Yes, having my arm around her wasn't an intimate way ... she was pissed off. She was mad at dealers. It was a way of calming her down."

The attorney wanted to know if Wilson accompanied Garcia to his car. He said she did but didn't get in it. Peters asked if Wilson was in the car.

"She's not in the front, she's not in the back and certainly she's not in the trunk," Garcia testified.

Oh, Lord. :rolleyes: I thought that it was said that they shared a bottle of wine or something like that and that they were very affectionate at the Blackjack table. I guess that was his way of calming her down, too.

Garcia: "I was under the influence. She was under the influence. We were walking we were talking. She was mad about gambling. I don't remember."

Horst: "How close did you get to your car?"

Garcia: "We were in the vicinity of the car -- right next to it."

Horst: "Did she touch it?"

Garcia: "That I can't tell you."

Horst: "Did you embrace?"

Garcia: "When we departed, we embraced, and we said goodbye. She said she was going to go back and get her cell phone."

Horst: "How far did you watch her walk?"

Garcia: "Not very long."

~snip~

The jury also looked at a note Garcia acknowledged writing to another inmate at the Placer County Jail where he was initially held. The note reads: "I know you and I started on the wrong foot and now you are leaving now that we are becoming friends. Right now it's getting real tough for me as the D.A. and the media are making accusations about my wife. They continue to say lies on TV and the newspaper. Yes, I had sex, but she [Wilson] wanted to."

Garcia denied writing the sentence about having sex with Wilson.

~snip~

About 15 spectators showed up this morning, but the courtroom only has 11 seats, and a lottery had to be held to determine who could sit inside.
