I doubt he suddenly gets a case of conscience if convicted. He'll be filing an appeal is my guess.

In closing arguments defense attorney Ron Peters took issue with Horst's case, which he called a "show." He said he had problems with the investigation and said there was a lack of sufficient evidence to convict his client.
"This is the skimpiest charged murder case ever," Peters said. "This is not a homicide. (Garcia) didn't do it. There was no murder. You have to find him not guilty."
Throughout the eight-week trial Horst has used multiple charts, PowerPoint presentations, photographs, videotapes, calendars and graphs to demonstrate the evidence and testimony in the case.
"You don't need diagrams shoved down your throats," Peters said to the jury during his closing argument. "They (are trying) to highlight certain events."

TheShadow said:IMO, the most damning bits of evidence in this case are:
No scratches were seen on Garcia's face at the casino and he left after 1 am. He had scratches on his face the next morning at work. He could not have acquired the scratches the way he said that he did between 1 am and 9 am of that day.
He was the last person seen with Christie and she never made it back to her own car, which was left in the lot that night.
The DNA could not have gotten into his back seat/trunk by simple transference of a piece of hair.
The missing trunk carpet, which we know was in the car when it was sold to him as testified to by the car seller.
I think that this SHOULD be a slam dunk, if the jury understands the evidence. As in the Peterson trial, there are too many bits of evidence that have to be explained away. If each of them adds a little weight to the case, the cumulative weight of all of them is enough to erase REASONABLE doubt.
Man - This guy is guilty! If they allow him to get away with murder, there'll be no stopping him.MagicRose99 said:Tick... Tick... Tick... Tick...
I'm at work... I have no idea if it's on TV or not. I can only cling to the local TV websites and share when they post...TheShadow said:Any idea if they will be broadcasting the verdict live on the radio or local tv stations?
