How can this wife not cooperate with LE if she knows anything that might help? I don't see how wives can stand by their man when it is pretty obvious that the man is a killer. Seems like this guy has some type of record. Maybe she has stood by him through everything else or she is in deep deniel. Boy I sure would want to know about the scratches and black eye. He probably handed her some big lie. Sounds like she was just fool enough to believe him.

Just wish they could find Christy.

Found a blog with good coverage and interesting comments. It's well worth a read.
http://christiewilson.blogspot.com/

I wonder 'who' this person is?? I believe I'll be following her blog throughout the trial - sounds like she'll be there for a few of the days. I'm going to try and get there myself. At least for opening statements & a few of the trial dates!! I'll follow the instructions someone gave on the other thread (to the courthouse & where to park! LOL!)

Nothing 'new' in the local paper lately... so no updates from here! :(

anyone "hear" anything new?

CBS 13) SACRAMENTO It is part of the Christie Wilson story you've never heard, an exclusive interview with a woman who says the man now charged with Wilson's murder, had threatened to kill her. But, she says that's not all Mario Garcia did.

http://cbs13.com/local/local_story_060194404.html

Exploring The Past Of Mario Garcia

The man accused of killing Christie Wilson is Mario Garcia. Tonight, a woman who once dated Garcia says he tried to kill her. She's talking only to CBS 13 and what this woman says happened to her - will give you chills.

Thunder Valley Casino - where five months ago Christie Wilson was sitting at a blackjack table with six hundred dollars worth of chips in front her. It was right around 10 o'clock when her boyfriend called her cell phone.

“Come home,” he pleaded. She told him she would - she never did.

Mario Garcia will appear in court next month, on trial for murdering Christie Wilson. But her family says tonight they'll be going through a different kind of trial - that of public opinion, as 48 hours tells the country about their daughter’s life and death.

As the national spotlight turns on Christie Wilson, her family admits they're in emotional turmoil.

I watched the show and thought it was pretty well done. I don't always care for the TV depictions but this had some good information and some of the real people involved in his past. I don't think the show portrayed Christie in any light other than victim. I wonder just what he's been up to all these years without any run ins with the law....practicing I'd wager.

My thought exactly chico....he's learned over the years. If it wasn't for the camera in the parking lot, she would still be just a missing person.

They spoke with CBS 13's Charlotte Fadipe about the show saying they thought it was very fair, accurate, poignant and it certainly made them cry at times. It was also disturbing for them to learn so much about the man they believe murdered their daughter. A man they will face again in court next month.

That's the summation of the Bee article I read last night. I'll post the link later but I just ran across this...

Lawyers for murder suspect Mario Garcia are now saying key evidence from his car was obtained illegally.

On March 2st, a judge will determine whether to allow the evidence at trial

Nothing out of the ordinary....I sure hope all t's were crossed and i's dotted.

Attorneys for murder defendant Mario Flavio Garcia are alleging that sheriff's detectives illegally seized his car and that all evidence obtained from it should be suppressed in a trial.

The lawyers made the claim in a motion submitted to a Placer County judge.

~snip~

Prosecutors for the Placer County District Attorney's Office have submitted a memorandum opposing the suppression motion, denying that the vehicle was seized improperly and stating that detectives received consent from Garcia to obtain and search the vehicle.

A hearing on the motion to suppress the evidence from the car is scheduled for March 21 before Placer Superior Court Judge Larry D. Gaddis.

I went to the vigil but didn't find any WS'ers :(

I was interviewed by a reporter from the Auburn Journal and plugged websleuths as much as I could :)

Looked like quite a lot of people for such a cold evening...there were a couple speakers, the sheriff, DA, a woman filling in for her ill daughter from an organization named something for murdered children...parents of murdered children? The microphone did poorly and hearing was difficult.

The parents spoke briefly and there were a few prayers, songs then Christie's family lit candles and walked among the crowd lighting our candles. I was able to grab Mr. Boyd's hand and tell him I that I won't stop looking for Christie. Lot's of media present to help keep Christie's name out there to remind all that she's still missing.

Family, friends honor Wilson after Oct. 5 disappearance

Christie Wilson is missing, but she is in no way forgotten.

This was made apparent by more than 100 people who huddled on a cold but clear Saturday night outside of Auburn's Historic Courthouse for a candlelight vigil in the missing Sacramento woman's honor.

"As time has gone on, Christie Wilson has become our daughter, our niece, our neighbor and our friend," Placer County Sheriff Ed Bonner told family, friends and supporters.

It has been five months since 27-year-old Wilson was last seen on videotape walking out of the Thunder Valley Casino in Lincoln around 1:13 a.m. Oct. 5 with Mario F. Garcia.

I had a thought the other night....wonder what time the newspaper is delivered in the area where some of the searches were conducted...specifically the areas around Camp Far West and towards Auburn. I saw lots of paper boxes for the Times/Union in that area the closer I got towards Grass Valley/Auburn. Our paper comes about 2 am or so in our rural area, just a thought in case a papercarrier saw anything unusual....
