But he seems like he is more than ready to die for his "mission"...

He probably envisioned himself taking out his targets much more efficiently and quickly , like in the movies. In reality, the longer he sticks around stalking his intended victims, the more he risks getting caught before he is finished. LE is all over this and I'll bet they've come closer to getting him than we even know. I think he didn't plan on being this scared of getting caught.

This guy planned on being the predator; now, he's the prey.

They just had a press conference in San Diego. Did anyone see it? Seems that he was in San Diego and had a room at some place/hotel and had not checked out. So, some of what went on there seems true. I dunno, my KTLA Live Stream goes Dead more than it goes Live.

Checking in - I've got a whole lot of reading to do...

But the police presence in the area is HUGE. I'm not even near where the locus of the murders, or suspected locations (but they don't know where he is, so...).

But I didn't realize what was going on, and took the dogs to the park. Heli's, and lots of black and whites cruising - far more than I've ever seen except during a chase. But they're not chasing...they're just looking. They're cruising. They're poking down allies and long drives...I've seen local PD, LAPD, Sheriff's, and CHPs, as well as a lot of unmarked cars with uniforms inside (which is fairly rare...usually unmarked have street clothed/suits in them).

And again, I'm not near the hub of activities. I've seen all this while driving to and from the park, as well as going to a small local store.

This is huge. I've got a lot of reading to get done, but I'll be back.

Officer killed in Riverside.

Riverside Officers Shot

Around 1:45 a.m. Thursday, two Riverside officers were shot after they responded to a call for assistance from Magnolia and Arlington Avenues

Someone had reported seeing the suspect’s vehicle in that location.

"By all accounts, it appears they were stopped at a red light and just ambushed by the suspect," said Riverside Lt. Guy Toussaint.

One Riverside officer was pronounced dead at the scene. The second officer was taken to a nearby hospital where the officer underwent surgery, police said.

It is huge. I'm driving around on the freeways and seeing what I thought was an Amber alert for a vehicle, as well as police cars just sitting around in different parts of the freeway. Scary.

Actually, the guy who saw the truck and who made the call was interviewed a bit ago, his name was either Lee McDaniels or Lee McDonald depending on what the reporter said as opposed to what the headline said on the TV. Maybe I saw it on CNN?
