So I've been following along fairly close but forgive me if this has been covered. I havent' seen it. Is there any mention of any type of psychiatric care/ condition/ history for Dorner? TYIA

I don't think he is on the mountain. I think the burning truck was a red herring.
The Los Angeles Daily News cited anonymous law enforcement sources in reporting that Dorners grey Nissan Titan may have broken an axle after he lost control along an access road used for heavy fire equipment. Dorner took off on foot and backtracked his footprints before taking a different route, the newspaper reported.
Irvine police Lt. Bill Whalen confirmed there was axle damage.
We don't know at this point when the damage occurred, he said.
Whalen said that, despite the broken axle, its unclear whether Dorner is still in the mountains near Big Bear.
Investigators have been examining the truck to determine if it broke down or was set ablaze as a diversion. Police say the truck had a broken axle. Investigators are trying to determine whether it was already broken when they found it, or whether it was damaged when it was towed away.
Earlier Friday, another warrant was served at a La Palma house belonging to Dorner's mother. Officers collected 10 bags of evidence, including five electronic items.
Yes, he did.Didn't he mention depression himself, in his manifesto? jmo
