Either channel 9 or 5 was showing a white truck with a rifle lying nearby....

he had a couple if women held hostage last night (?) tied them up and stole their truck, they were able to get away and tell police, thats how the fish and game knew what truck to look for - IIRC

I know, he does not CURRENTLY have any hostages that we are aware of... that I believe is a misunderstanding or rumor.

UPDATE: San Bernardino county sheriff tells media live-tweeting is hindering officer safety and “please stop tweeting, immediately”
Ok, that's just over the top.

"Pinned down" definition: He's not running anymore, he's trapped up somewhere." CNN
I'm gonna guess he's in that cabin with the smoke near it. JMO

My brother is ex military. Says that smoke is a flare.

what i heard is that he broke in a house took two women and tied them up and did not hurt them and stole a red nissan car.. this car was later called in as vehicle theft around noon today. they do not know how long they were tied up for.. this car was later invovled in a car accident on 38 that started the shoot out with police.

Well, I don't think there should be a media black out, but that's just me. I do agree they should move back.

He stole a maroon Nissan, newer vehicle from the house on Club View. He did not hurt the two women in the cabin. At 12:20 today, the women reported the theft of the vehicle. Later the maroon Nissan was involved in some incident on Hwy 38 further down the mountain.

It is unclear if he had been in the cabin with the women since last week or not.

Have LE had a direct sighting of D? Im trying to understand why LE hasn't shot him by now.

they are claiming the did see him - 2 fish and game officers tried to pull him over - he refused - gun gattle started, he ran on foot, chased by SBPD - 2 officers shot - big gun battle - news is saying he is now hold up in a cabin - there are incomfirmed reports from big bear residents saying he was shot - but police are still surrounding the cabin w/ guns trained - cbs2 keeps replaying the audio of initial gun fight

News conference coming at top of hour

  • #1,171
No reports of CURRENT hostages on any local channels. Schools are on lockdown. Dorner is thought to be in a cabin, and it is unknown if there are any other occupants (but thought to NOT be any additional occupants)

News conference.

KTLA, KCAL9, and all local channels will carry it. CNN will also carry it.

Just lost my TV to my kid and the live link is not running right now (abc).

disagree, LE should not be judge jury and executioner. It is one thing if he dies in a fire fight but another if they coldly go in to assasinate him. Half his issues are lies by LAPD who have a history of issues.

Even if they showed him putting a bullet in his own head some people would still blame LE for his murder.

Thank God we are approaching the end of this horrible nightmare for many people in southern California and the law enforcement community.

I hope he bleeds out (assuming he was wounded in the shootout) and nobody else gets hurt.

I'm watching kcal 9. They are talking about him having heat and stuff. Wouldn't they just cut the heat and power right away?

I wonder if this was called in when they disappeared or if nobody noticed/cared.

His family member was interviewed... it seems as though they knew.. so maybe he did it just this morning..
