they are claiming the did see him - 2 fish and game officers tried to pull him over - he refused - gun gattle started, he ran on foot, chased by SBPD - 2 officers shot - big gun battle - news is saying he is now hold up in a cabin - there are incomfirmed reports from big bear residents saying he was shot - but police are still surrounding the cabin w/ guns trained - cbs2 keeps replaying the audio of initial gun fight

Thank you polleypockets. :seeya:

twitter is a very reliable source. I would give anything for that not to be true. But it is breaking news. We don't even know he is in that cabin. Did anyone else read that as the shootout (which is on tape and up on youtube already) happened, one was wounded and the other cop was shot as dorner fled out the back of the cabin. So if that is indeed fact and true, is he even in that cabin? We don't even know....I feel awful inside to know another has most likely died. I would hope it's not true. But I'm just not that optimistic.

i'm a little confused....can anyone explain it to me

i'm in nyc...the news here is showing dorner TWO DAYS AGO in a scuba diving shop purchasing scuba diving gear - and the news here implies that it was mexico.

so..if he was in mexico..purchasing scuba diving gear...
why would he be back in california - big bear country?
he was AWAY and SAFE from law enforcement in california.
across the border.

any of you in california who can clear this up for me, thank you
i appreciate it.

Maybe no Dorner either. Are they sure he is in this cabin? Doesn't seem like it.

I know. But if they WERE held hostage since his truck burned... someone should have noticed them missing.
If they were held hostage AFTER the fact, then WHY were they allowed to go into the cabin alone?

Don't shoot the messenger, but it was reported in an interview by a relative of the cleaning lady that it was a cabin that was being extensively cleaned that had been vacant for several days prior..

Yes, I did see that so how long were the women in there cleaning?
Why were they allowed to go into a vacant cabin without LE escort if they went in after the manhunt?
If they were in there the whole time, were they noticed missing or checked on?
Does that make sense?

Interesting how the road that is blocked looks sunny and mild. No one's wearing long sleeves and just right up the road there was snow everywhere.
