I find a few things perplexing here. Assuming that they lived in the River Point as that is the address that was given, it appears that they only have studio and one-bedroom "cottages". This place does not look like somewhere you rent and they call themselves a resort on the website that has booking features for your vacation. Right now the going rate for January for the one-bedroom would be a total of over $4k to stay there for the month and this is for 400 sqft. I wonder how long they had been living there.
One Bedroom | Coronado Beach Resort
If the roommate spoke with her right before 9 while asking about an umbrella, left the home and then her food was delivered at 10:30 and the roommate is saying she thought she was in her room if they only have one-bedroom units and the roommate thought she was in that bedroom that means the roommate would have been in the main room so she would have obviously not seen or heard her come back in ever. 400 sqft is so small you would think even if the roommate was hypothetically in the bathroom and not in the main room for the duration of the time she was gone that the roommate certainly would have at least heard her re-enter their residence.
I know she didn't have a car but did the roommate not either? It just seems odd in a storm that you would walk, even if a short distance. Depending on where they lived in the resort area it would have been a half a mile to almost mile full walk there and back in this storm. If the last communication was with the roommate a little before 9 and then her last seen whereabouts originally were reported as being on the trail at 9 but now we know her last sighting was buying alcohol at the 7-Eleven with a homeless man recently released from prison at 10:34 - where was she and what was she doing for that hour and the half time period in between?
You can also see on Google Maps when you go to the street view that if she was walking back home going west over the bridge that the people in this photo are going the same way across. She was not very tall so it seems somewhat hard for me to believe she fell off the bridge after seeing how it goes up in perspective of these two people in the photo. You would have to purposely climb and jump or be thrown but I don't see how you could just accidentally fall off especially at her height. I am also very suspect of the homeless man she was with, not because he was homeless but simply because he was recently let out of prison and we do not know what he was in there for but if her last sighting is with him this would certainly be a concern.
