GUILTY CA - Doug Ferguson, 59, & Lisa Cosenza, 51, slain, Aliso Viejo, 12 Oct 2017 *arrest*

Lisa Cosenza, a longtime former Daily Pilot and Los Angeles Times advertising executive, died in a shooting Thursday in Aliso Viejo, sheriff’s officials said Friday. She was 51.

Cosenza’s longtime boyfriend, Doug Ferguson, 59, also was fatally wounded.

Two other gunshot victims were a 23-year-old man and a 48-year-old man, the Sheriff's Department said Friday morning. They were hospitalized and in serious condition.

Luke William Ferguson, the 26-year-old who is wanted for a double homicide in Orange County, has been taken into custody.

Ferguson was reportedly arrested at a donut shop &#8212; a known hangout for law enforcement.

&#8220;There was no warning,&#8221; he said, &#8220;He came down the stairs after he said he was going to take a nap. He came down, loaded up the gun (makes gun loading sounds) and shoots my buddy Doug, and he falls against the door. I&#8217;m sitting on the couch, I took one to the knee. The bullet is still lodged in my leg.&#8221;

No news on this case since October, 2017, but I did find out his next court date is May 31, 2018. He is being held without bail.

A Memorial Scholarship Fund was set up in Lisa Cosenza's honor to help young people in need. She was actually helping to rehabilitate the troubled young man who cruelly and suddenly took her life away.
