Welcome, OnbekendeBron!! First, I am glad to have you here but so sorry about your experiences. And thank you for the crash course in looking for other victims. To be clear, I would never ask anyone to contact me directly. I would only point people in the direction of the appropriate LE officer or DA.

I learned the hard way that I should not have even accepted the disclosures of my own children. That was a huge issue in our own trial. I was painted as an "agent of the state" as I was asked to write down what the children said to me. Of course, that argument was discarded and we did get a conviction. The DA, however, was very committed to preserving the "purity" of the case. So, I do understand.

I've worried about the Bradley case ever since I read that parents are being allowed to meet in support groups and talk about the abuse. We were forbidden to talk to our own children in the privacy of our home for the 10 months it took to come to trial. That was miserably difficult with hurting children.

In case you haven't read this entire thread, I am the adoptive mother of a young man who was evaluated at age 5 1/2 by Ayres in San Mateo County. My heart goes out to you.

Welcome.

mz iz, but i dont understand...you cant expect a parent to not want to talk about it, either with other parents or with the kids themselves. the parents would go crazy that way. i know i would anyways

Welcome to WS On-we are very very victim friendly here. You wont find anyone giving you grief for how and when you chose to approach your situation....it is against TOS.

You might want to consider if you are part of any pending litigation what the consequences of you posting here might be....it sounds like you are pretty savvy to the justice system, so that is all I will say....and bless you.

Mercy, there is not a knew lead on info for Boston-just a new lead Detective as you had already stated. I am sorry if I worded my post badly....I have been typing quickly today and have no spell check.

I have been following the thread for awhile now, and did read about your son. I ALWAYS cringe when a parent says "my child went to see ayres" It sounds like he only went once, and it DOES seem that ayres' age of interest is a bit older than that. I pray that he was safe from ayres.

Actually this cuts to the very heart of the problem in these cases. As we get older we begin to realize that had we done more to stop the animal, others would not have been victims. The guilt compounds, making it harder and harder to speak out. These guys all know that that's how the game works, and they target fear and guilt early.

At any rate... I'm really glad to see that people are getting the word out in a big, loud way.... every time one of these guys falls, people become more aware that they need to keep their eyes open.

Thanks again! I don't have pending litigation, nor do I plan any. Frankly, I burned the "speaking out" bridge some time ago. In fact, there are plenty of people who probably wish I'd shut-the-heck-up. :innocent:

i remember a story around here (massachusetts) where this guys victim confided in his girlfriend (years later) that his priest has molested him. she told him he should go to the police....he did. when his action brought charges against the priest, other victims, some in present day, others from the time of the victim here, started coming foward too.

sometimes it just takes one, as lame as that may sound, to get others who are afraid to come foward to do so.

This is what we are hoping for with a little love and a big red arrow pointing to all of the appropriate phone numbers, lol.

This passage from the Globe is intriguing:

At the Judge Baker Children’s Center, chief operating officer Stephen Schaffer said the organization does not have personnel records for Ayres because he was an employee of Children’s Hospital when he was working at the Center.

So that means the personnel records are over at Children's Hospital. I am wondering if anyone from the San Mateo District Attorney's office has thought to ask for them.

I was told by a child care worker who was at Judge Baker right after Ayres was there that if Ayres molested a boy it would be in those records. He said that every little thing about the children was documented. The child care workers wrote daily notes on the boys, as did their teachers, social workers, psychologists and child psychiatrists. This former child care worker (who is now a forensic psychologist) said that children at Judge Baker were closest to the child care workers and social workers, and that if they had been molested, they wouild have confided in them.

If there are allegations about Ayres abusing children the former child care worker said, they would have been documented. \\He said that all of these records are at Children's Hospital.

You are asking the same question I have been asking myself. Ayre's personnel records are up for grabs in this case in terms of vetting his storys and documenting his professional career.

The patient records, on the other hand, I would think cant be cracked until a local patient comes forward with information on their treatment at his hands, positive or negative.....OK well negative lol.

OK-I just put a thread up on the City-Data People search section...I usually get great responses from that.

CL, I find, causes people to google whatever I have posted and come to WS or another blog that way....but City Data usually produces great results.

Boston lawyer Mitch Garabedian appeared on New England Cable News Network tonight on "Broadside" to talk about the Ayres case tonight.

Garabedian was the hard working lawyer who represented the victims of pedophile priest Father John Geoghan. Some of you might remember that Geoghan was murdered in prison.

Garabedian was the first lawyer to depose Cardinal Law in the pedophile priests cases.

One thing I found interesting and pertinent about Dr. Gajdusek's case was that his own diaries are what hung him. I wonder how LE got hold of those?

Missizzy: Gajdusek's diaries were published. A librarian in the archives at Children's Hospital showed them to me. They are revolting.

I love how Mitch says in the interview with NECN, "Stand Up, be proud. It is NOT YOUR FAULT."

Mercy-here is a thought....if Ayres signed confidentiality agreements while he was employed by Childrens and Children's insurance companies paid out some kind of settlement, there must be some record of that in his personnel files. I would think that a journalist or the prosecutors on either side of the country could smoke out any insurance/malpractice payouts.....
