If in fact that is two different videos and times that it is a REALLY crazy coincidence that her steps we EXACTLY the same on each video. Like to the "t". That makes me think this is the same exact video...One with a blinking light to her left, and another one without the light. And one of those seem edited.

I also decided to look in the missing Facebook after noticing it and someone else mentions it in the comments. The pages responded saying it was brought to their attention and they are looking into it.

Maybe the family has the whole tape but just didn't feel the need to release it since it shows nothing. But, if they don't have it then to me it seems crazy that the family is not releasing it in its entirety to clear their name.

There's also what looks like shadow that appears on the wall after she walks by. Many seem to argue it is Elaine's. However, you can see Elaine's before the other shadow appears. Both videos show it. It could absolutely be nothing, but when you have nothing to go on what else can you do but wonder.

About the shadow's on the wall... if you watch the video section of the Uber timeframe, you will see that each person casts two shadows, which come from two different light sources (coming from the right). I think that is all we are seeing on that second shadow.

Oh that makes sense! Thanks!

If I was to plan my own disappearance, I would certainly want to take some money or clothes. Elaine's mom says in the ABC interview that cell phone, laptop, cash was found in the car.
I don't see this as a planned disappearance as in she decided to start a new life.

I wish people in the neighborhood in which the car was found would check their clouds to see if their security cameras caught anything odd.

I don't know, dally_doodle. While she walks quickly in both with her hair swishing and seems to be wearing the same clothing, I think my eyes make out that she is carrying something under her left arm (maybe her duffle bag? or laptop?) in the video on the Help Find page (which has been labeled by the police as "Last known footage of Elaine"), while in the abc7 one she does not appear to be carrying anything. Also in the Help Find one her right arm seems to be be swinging stronger as when one is walking quickly and deliberately, and less so in the abc7 one. She walks fast and the videos are not real sharp, so I know my eyes could be playing tricks on me, though, lol.

I think perhaps the abc7 one is showing yet another time Elaine went out to her car. The reporter's narrative seems to suggest that the video is the one where Elaine was last seen, at 6:05. But the timestamp clearly shows 1:19 for the time. In that article, it says the bf's "mother provided the surveillance video" to her. So it sounds like Elaine's mother now has two videos in her possession. One directly from the bf's family, and another from the Glendale Police. I think the two copies need to be scrutinized and compared carefully. They need an explanation for the two sets of flashing lights in the last known footage. It does suggest that maybe there was another car also unlocking their door, ready to drive out, doesn't it?

Wasn't it mentioned that Elaine returned to the house that morning, before driving away? Maybe the people who are reporting her activities aren't especially time conscious, and what feels like 10 minutes to them is really 2 hours, or whatever. I know I lose track of time when I am entrenched in my work. I sit down at 10 am and and all of a sudden it's 5:15pm, yet felt like 1 hour passed. That actually happens to me a lot. I imagine when someone is gaming that would also occur. I don't think the video of her leaving the residence is as important as her getting to the exit gate and not having her headlights on. That's super weird, imo..

Also, 4-5 days passed before her car was found. No way it was there all that time. I think we are focusing on the wrong video. I think the businesses and cctv camers from the area her car was found would be much more valuable. Where are those?

I posted a while back photos of a gas station right where her car was found. Just by looking on Google maps, they had cameras pointing at every direction. Of course, maybe some of those were not working but I feel like those would have been important to view and maybe they were and we just don't knke. But by now, I'm sure any footage that could have been useful has probably been purged or written over. 😖

Agreed that they should be concerned about any footage from the surrounding area where the car was found.
Hopefully they've went door to door in that area to ask questions and ask for any footage that might be stored in a cloud.

I'm so curious as to if the car was parked there from the 28th or brought there in the days that followed.
What do y'all think? Was the car driven there immediately after leaving the bf house or do you think it was placed there later on in the following days???

I think they are the same video. I think perhaps the Facebook one is the raw footage and the abc7 one is touched up by the news company in order to make the video clearer of Elaine leaving the house. The abc7 is much brighter, you can clearly see Elaine. In the Facebook one, it's more difficult to see her clearly because of the darkness.

Removing the flashing lights is a no no but potentially they did it innocently so the viewers can clearly see Elaine without distractions.

I do NOT think that car was parked there all those days. Where was the car before it was dumped on the side of the road? I have no idea. But I think that a car couldnt sit there for 5 days without it being reported before hand. Does anyone know the EXACT location of the car? I know it said near Corral Canyon Road off PCH. The 78 gas station is RIGHT THERE!! Even if they do not have footage to offer, would it hurt to ask the employees if they remember that car being there for days?? I know that if I went to work and saw the same car every single day for 5 days I would absolutely notice it. Especially if it came to light that it was the car of a missing women.

I'm so curious as to if the car was parked there from the 28th or brought there in the days that followed.

I've been wanting to know the exact location too.

The MSM articles reference her BF as her ex-BF. They went on a date and she spent the night. That doesn't sound like an ex.

In addition to there being no blinking lights in the video that Elaine's mom was watching there are also these lights that are different. I have watched both of these videos over and over to try to find differences in the way that Elaine is walking, her hair swaying, ANYTHING to make me feel like the videos are from two different times. And i came up with the conclusion that these are two DIFFERENT videos.

Here are my reasonings:
1.) In the video on FB, as soon as Elaine comes into view, she has both her hands maybe in a hoodie pocket and then her right arm swings out. In the news video her right arm never swings. This was really hard to see because it appears that the footage featuresd on the news site is being sped up.

2.) The FB page video shows a blink of light prior to Elaine's car blinking in the distance. The news video does not have this blink of light.

3.) There a light in the distance (maybe from a neighboring house?) in the footage from the news but that light is not in the footage shown on FB video.

4.) (this is how crazy I've gotten...)...The bugs that are flying around the camera do NOT match up. They are seen in both videos which I expect with the light but each video shows them flying in different directions and appearing in different parts of the video

So, to me, this is showing that she left on two different occasions on the same night, wearing the same outfit. On the news footage they say that Susan Park was viewing "the last footage of Elaine" which is exactly what the FB page says. So, which is it? Which one is the REAL last footage...and what does that mean? Does it really even change anything? I think the family should see if there is another footage of Elaine's car leaving the gate earlier to see if the headlights were on. If they were on in on footage and not the other, then I think that is strange. But maybe one of these footages are just her leaving to get something from her car? If so, then the footage of her RETURNING to the house should be supplied to Elaine's mom.

Also, BF says in MSM article that she changed before leaving. But she didn't leave with a duffle bag... so she was either getting dressed because she had no clothes on or she changed but didn't take her things with her.... doesn't sound like an ex.

Here's my thoughts-
If the car was parked there immediately after leaving the bf ( or ex bf ...whatever we are labeling him as) then I would say possible suicide. (IMO only)
But..... If we found out that the car was parked there some days later then I would say foul play. ( IMO only)
My office buildings security footage is stored in a cloud for @30 days currently, my home is about the same. So hopefully the family went around and tried to collect any footage possible from that area before it was too late.
I'm not leaning towards suicide in my theory right now.

What are your thoughts and theories? And why?( This question isn't directed any any individual , I'm just trying to create conversation so am hoping for many opinions)

Wow, nice job. Another thing I noticed in your screen shots is that the video time stamp for the news video is in the top right corner but there is no time stamp in the FB video.... why?

I'm having the same questions about the two videos. Hopefully someone can clarify because something seems altered to me.

Issue I have with the suicide theory is that dead people can't hide their bodies. Extensive searches were done where her car was found. If she had gotten out of her car and went straight into the water, then I think the dogs would have picked up her scent from her car to the ocean. The dogs did not pick up her scent AT ALL, no where in the area....

I noticed that as well. My thought on that was that the FB video seems slightly zoomed in. I'm wondering if the time stamp is there, but it was cropped out?
