GUILTY CA - Eliza Delacruz, 3 wks, Long Beach, 4 Jan 2015

There was another case on here where the baby was taken, and later found dead. The perp in that case had taken the baby for ransom, BUT, the baby cried, so he stuffed something in her mouth to keep her quiet, and she died.

I very much doubt it. They are asking for tips. Which they wouldn't be if they knew who it was.

I think they still could, to throw off a known perp while they continue to search for him.

This is what confuses me, why take Eliza? You've already shot 3 people. The two with wounds to the head could have been considered dead or soon to be dead.

I can't wrap my mind around taking the baby.

Could it be taking the baby ensures that it's a life altering trauma? I'm not discounting being shot as a trauma but your new baby kidnapped and murdered trumps being shot.

My friend and I were just talking about this, I can't get over this portion of the case either....why...take...the...baby?? What we came up with is, maybe it was "staged" to make it look like a kidnapping gone wrong, when in actuality it is a very personal crime. To sort of throw the scent off the trail. But...still....I think I read 120 miles away from home is where she was found - that is a LONG distance to travel with a baby in who knows what condition.

The police have asked for tips in many cases when they knew who the perp was.
Sometimes with the perp standing next to them also begging for tips.
Susan Smith anyone?

If police had a known perp they couldn't find, they would release his name and mug shot. I fail to see any reason why they would hide it. That doesn't help them to find the perp.

Will we ever hear another word about this case? Who killed you Eliza?

I was going to post an update here newone. So beyond sad.

Deputies responded to the 21300 block of Alder Drive in the Santa Clarita city of Newhall after the parents walked into the sheriff's office to report the disappearance.
The baby was found Sunday morning at around 8 a.m. No other information about the baby or the nature of the disappearance was immediately available.

 Not another one?

Eliza and now Ellorah, both only three weeks old, gone. OMG, beings of pure innocence.
I want to believe there's a wondrous playground in Heaven and they will laugh and play together.

Is there any news or updates about Eliza's case?

Hard to believe that there are zero updates on the conditions of the mother and the uncle.

"Police said the suspect is likely male but other than that they had little information. A motive has not been determined. Police have said the assailant may have known the victims.

Police have not said what caused Delacruz's death.''

not a peep about memorial service or funeral?

And what is most amazing to me, after all the speculation, all the shooting, running, kidnapping, Eliza is the only one dead.

Couldn't have said it any better!
