I try to tell myself they have to go back all the way to September as they are deliberating the evidence heard... Hope that is why it is taking long and not because they are seriously contemplating she is innocent of the charges! I hope they will not let the opportunist walk!!!

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, if those of us who have sat in these windowless courtrooms for the past four months get through this thing without a COVID outbreak, it’ll be a dang miracle.

A person has fallen asleep and is snoring in the overflow courtroom. One reporter says she can hear the snoring through her headphones. “It’s louder than my typing,” another reporter observes.

Sounds like things are decompensating at the ol' courthouse there. Where's the bailiff?! Where's Bryd when you need him!

Pace yourself. There will be an appeal, regardless of the verdict. She won't walk free, but she'll fight whatever is handed down. This will be a long and protracted process. Expensive too. However, she's had plenty of time to intelligently protect her funds to the extent the law permits.

No word from the jury, and we’ve got about an hour of deliberations left for the day. Meanwhile, it feels like the journalists have taken over the courthouse. Haven’t seen a court staffer in hours, but there are plenty of press wandering the halls.

I stepped out to grab lunch and just ran into the prosecution’s trial team having a bite to eat together. They seem in good spirits.

Word among the film press pool is that a still photographer who was waiting outside the courthouse presumably for a shot of Holmes yesterday tested positive for COVID. They say he’s not here today.

It's Wednesday, day 6 of jury deliberations in Elizabeth Holmes' criminal fraud trial, and I wish I brought a pillow to court today, but a kind soul donated a box of donuts to folks waiting in the overflow courtroom. Who thinks the verdict will be today?

Day 6 is the day!

Psh, not happening.

Whatever the parties were discussing yesterday in the sealed court session left prosecutors in a fine mood, based on their demeanor heading into lunch at a cafe across the street from the courthouse after the session.

Also, the big mystery we in the press are all talking about: What was discussed for 23 minutes yesterday between attorneys for Holmes and prosecutors? (highlights are mine)

Geez lady, for the safety of the attorneys, please do *not* report where they are eating. This is no overstatement either, as anyone who is an attorney knows. Sheesh. Not smart.

Not a peep from the jury, and after yesterday's sealed hearing, a couple of sealed documents just hit the docket. Where's my attorney?

Well, the Maxwell verdict came down, but no such luck in Elizabeth Holmes' trial this week or this year. The jury left for the day and there's no verdict. They'll be back here deliberating MONDAY morning at 8:30 a.m. Woo hoo! Long weekend!
