Well our suspect never went there. He went to a Santa Barbara Community college.
No, but 3 of his victims were UCSB students. He probably was jealous of that fact too...

"“Elliot has always been troubled and couldn’t express himself,” the source tells us.

“His parents did everything they could to help him. It seemed that Elliot suffered from extreme paranoia and heard voices, but it was impossible to properly diagnose because he just wouldn’t talk. Having been prescribed psychiatric medication, Elliot refused to take it."

He tried to push them off a ledge and the men came to the women's defense and pushed him off the ledge and his ankle popped when he landed on it.

I hope we are not saying that if a human being does something that is not acceptable ---- to be chucking people off cliffs.....

........how ever that went down, it is just, if not more, totally not ok for those kids (who in all liklihood not sick) to be chucking folks over mountains ....................IMO!

............and see we are back to he deserved it..........same kind of thing with steroids.................Joe kills two ..............oh he was on steroids thats why..... ok then

same thing with drinking behavior...........OH he/she was drunk....not an excuse...............but provides "reasons"

... a mom and a 15 year old suffering with mental retardation that can not get the answer to 2 plus 2, and mom goes nuts......................who is really inappropriate here?

why cant their be similair beliefs systems about those suffering with mental illiness ......its not a excuse.............its a cause.

Well he was sick ...............not an excuse a reality........sick people do things differntly than people who are not............

so IMO if it went down -------the way we know it now...............the kids chucking humans off cliffs are the ones who should be arrested

IMO!

Not disputing that, although I also attended the UC system and was not at the top of my class. The reason I bring up the "rich kid" thing is that katydid made it sound like only rich kids go to UCSB, which couldn't be farther from the truth. It's not Stanford, and even there you have poor kids who get in by scholarship...

I am sure getting into the UC system was easier in the past than today as more people go to college.

I have heard UCSB is a party school.

He certainly seemed to hate people who liked to party.

Meanwhile they could have searched his room - probable cause?

He certainly seemed to hate people who liked to party. : what happens when people party: They get closer, they touch , they laugh, they kiss, they dance, all social behaviors
what was he most pained about --- his social problems ....congruent IMO

Maybe this is how he was able to pay for the guns and ammo without charging it to Mum, Dad or Gran???

Sbm

I think that's entirely possible. However, he claims in his manifesto that he used money he had saved from monetary gifts from parents and grandparents. Anything written by him is debatable though, imo, it is apparent that he minimized his conditions and the level of support he was receiving. He may have lied about it in his writings.

He got a BMW gifted to him. I don't find it hard to believe her purchased his guns with the money gifted to him by family members. He didn't seem to have any other source of income, as menial jobs didn't appeal to him.

Three fatal stabbing victims in Santa Barbara rampage grew up in San Jose and Fremont

Santa Barbara shooting: Sheriffs never saw menacing videos before rampage

Hong was a 2012 graduate of Lynbrook High School and was studying computer engineering. Chen graduated the same year from Leland High, and had been a camp counselor for the YMCA.

one of the murdered men was just days from moving out of the apartment.

In the San Fernando Valley, authorities searched the premises of the West Hills home where Rodger’s mother lives. Officials brought out one blue box after searching the home of Lichin Rodger, who goes by the name Chin Rodger, for more than an hour but declined to comment on its contents.

Authorities had also served a warrant and searched the premises of the Woodland Hills home of Rodger’s father, Hollywood director Peter Rodger, earlier in the day

Police said Messrs. Rodger, Hong and Chen were all listed on the apartment's lease, but they were not sure whether Mr. Wang was also a roommate

three of the injured were in good condition and three were in fair condition, according to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital.

Instead, she said, more resources need to be put into getting mental health treatment for potential shooters in need.

I didnt mean to imply that ONLY rich kids went there. But it is , in fact, full of very upscale students. It is one of the 'cool' UC campuses to attend. If you compare it to for example, the Stockton campus, it would be a lot harder to feel like you can fit in. Certainly not defending this sick twisted killer, just saying that UC SB can be an intimidating campus. Lots of the students are from Malibu, Westlake Village and Calabasas area.

Sheriffs never saw menacing videos before California rampage

http://www.foxnews.com/us/2014/05/25/sheriffs-never-saw-menacing-videos-before-california-rampage/

"The sheriff's office "was not aware of any videos until after the shooting rampage occurred," Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Kelly Hoover told The Associated Press."

I would think the call the family made to authorities was recorded. If it was and the videos referenced, LE blew it off. I would be in a rage if I found out after my child was killed.

"A social worker as recently as last week was concerned by Rodger’s behavior and contacted law enforcement."

http://losangeles.cbslocal.com/2014...son-is-gunman-in-deadly-isla-vista-shootings/

I wonder what happened with this. A week ago. Why did a 22 yo have a social worker?

http://www.nhscareers.nhs.uk/explor...re-team/clinical-support-staff/social-worker/

"Adult services: roles include working with people with mental health problems or learning difficulties in residential care, working with offenders (supervising them in the community and supporting them to find work), assisting people with HIV/AIDS and working with older people at home helping to sort out problems with their health, housing or benefits."

I think either scenario is believable, I'm just not going to take his word on anything, lol. Maybe more details will be forthcoming.

It appears he did some wine drinking alone. I saw partially full wine glasses in his photos.
Maybe they were just props, because that's what distinguished royalty consumes.

That is as far as I got. 5 yrs old , yawn

For sure!
I am up to age 13, and it is just irritating me.
I don't know that any amount of mental health help would ever have done it for this kid. He seemed to have been born to be what he was, and sometimes there is no changing that.

(My son is of a similar age. He was just telling me about some of ER's posts on a website mentioned earlier (NOT PUAHate!). ER was ripped hard for his attitude there.
I wonder if he would have been different if born in an age without internet?
Nah, I think he would have been a "Zodiac" type killer. ER reminds me of Zodiacs messages a bit. He hated the world and especially pretty woman and those coupled up also, IIRC)

The above could be the reason why he always video'ed himself sitting in his luxury car.

As if the car could conceal his stature or "add" to his personhood?

We really need to develop a better way to protect society from dangerous people.
