He all sprayed girls with orange juice from a squirt gun. Jeez... :-S
He also described driving and throwing his coffee drink at young women. If he was caught he could have been charged with some sort of assault.

"A friend claims Elliot Rodger was a "really lonely guy" before he went on killing spree in Isla Vista, Calif"

"The deranged 22-year-old behind a Santa Barbara killing spree fantasized about a global takeover, a friend says."

"After watching the movie “Chronicle” with a group of friends, Elliot Rodger announced he wanted to “dominate the world,” friend Andi Chan told ABC News."

“We all thought he was insane, but we were used to it,” Chan said in the interview. “Maybe in his mind he really wanted to do that.”

When he threw the coffee, he regretted that it wasn't boiling hot. :(

Of course, once he turned 18.....it was too late. My point being, perhaps ER's parents spent most of their focus on getting ER to fit in (as well as being in denial) instead of getting comprehensive medical outlines of the care and treatment. An approach more of acceptance than one that puts additional strain on ER 'cause he was **never** going to fit in with his peers and accomplish any goals that another mentally healthy man his age would have no problems achieving. And I mean **never**.
By many accounts (including grandmother, aunts, etc) he was a mentally sick boy.

I'm just trying to find a semblance of a solution to their bad situation they were in. And to try and prevent further tragedy.....and yes, he had shown signs of violence in the past----the stepmother had been repeatedly alarmed.

I do agree with this, and unfortunately it happens far too often, whether it did or not in this case. However, while it probably was clear he wasn't going to be a real popular guy, it wasn't unreasonable to think he could graduate college and possibly have an okay life for himself. We don't know enough about the diagnosis/background to say that independent living was impossible. A normal social life would have been highly unlikely. But I don't think it was all that clear that he was nonfunctional - odd, yes, but I mean he drove, he lived with roommates, he didn't get in much trouble until what seems like a sharp recent decline, and he wasn't being forcibly hospitalized. It seems to be a very controlled building rage and he maintained a lot of rationality, but was incredibly hopeless and frustrated and unable to connect. If he was known for not talking much, it may not have been obvious at all that he was going to go off the deep end. He probably didn't talk to his parents about sexual desires, and he had been attempting to date, so his parents may have thought he could find a girlfriend at some point - a lot of very strange and, unfortunately, violent, people find a significant other. I'm not sure there was a real solution here - I don't know that medication or therapy could have made a difference, especially not knowing the diagnosis or medication. If someone is just unable to form effective connections with other humans, but isn't so clearly nonfunctional as to be signaled out for lifelong care at an early age, it is a hard situation to fix. If this is Asperger's and Schizophrenia combined, I can see that being a horrific combination, even though both those population groups are not violent, particularly those with Asperger's. I do think it's interesting that such a dual diagnosis was named for James Holmes and Adam Lanza. They may have a schizophrenic and sociopathic presentation that either gets misdiagnosed as aspergers or happened to occur in conjunction with it. They are very frustrated with their inability to fit in, but then they are also delusional and obsessive, and it all spirals dangerously. The sociopath and delusional tendencies could have resulted in them becoming a serial killer, but the extreme social frustration and the fact that they had more parental support and less life experience than maybe most their age maybe causes this to be expressed in a different way. I know we seem baffled by how many mass shootings there are, but there also seem to be fewer big serial killers. I sometimes feel like due to certain cultural shifts and other issues that the end result of these people's troubled minds may differ but stem from similar sources.

So sad, someone reached out to him on that forum, asking if he was okay.....

Just jumping off your post.....
Seems like to me, that the guns didn't kill these co-eds, ER did. In fact, at the apt crime scene, I believe ER utilized a knife to kill those 3 young men. So, at the end of the day, the parents should have gotten ER the much needed mental health care he needed. If he needed long term in-patient care, the parents could have well afforded the treatment, IMO. But to turn a blind eye to their son's obvious mental health problems, to me, is beyond irresponsible.
And, before anyone jumps me, I have been diagnosed (and properly medicated) with a myriad of mental health issues. All the above is jmo and ime.

Additionally... his car was used as a "weapon", too... when he purposely tried to run down people...

Something to think about....

The "article" from radar online attributed to anonymous source? I hardly find that credible.

Notice the post you refer to says...IF we find this to be true...

Personally... I would find paranoia and delusions to be more accurate than someone with Aspergers going on a rage-filled killing spree...

Here's the real reason for this heinous crime:

http://www.smh.com.au/world/elliot-...control-debate-in-america-20140526-zrnux.html
US Senator Richard Blumenthal said on Sunday he wanted to revive the gun control legislation that was rejected by Congress in the wake of the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre in Connecticut, saying it could have helped prevent the weekend's tragedy.
Mr Blumenthal, a Democrat from Connecticut, told CBS's Face the Nation program the legislation, which failed last year, could be revised to emphasis the mental condition of potential gun buyers.

They have been pushing for the psychological 'screening' of prospective gun owners for a while now. With this latest false-flag event, they will try it again.

If ER did, indeed, hear voices, as the above article reports... This puts him in a whole 'nother level of mental illness than what has been discussed on this thread...

Can I just add - to be prescribed Risperidone means that there was serious mental illness - not just Aspergers.

Risperidone is a heavy duty anti-psychotic medication - that's what I was trying to say earlier - to even have received that prescription indicates that he had a serious mental illness and had been diagnosed by a psychiatrist.

I agree. While I definitely picked up Aspie vibes from his videos, I highly doubt that was the only issue he had. That med is not prescribed flippantly.

If this has already been reported on the thread - let me know - sorry, Im having trouble catching up - TIA :)

Last night I was listening the the BBC News - and the interviewer mentioned the response from the Police after Elliot had been seen by them.

He conned the Police - he conned everyone.

Independent. Read More:
Police reportedly visited Rodger’s apartment, found him “polite and courteous”, and left.

Rodger mentioned the recent police visit to his apartment, saying that he feared the officer would find the stash of weapons in his room. “That would have ended everything,” he wrote.

Yet none of their encounters with Rodger gave the authorities any serious cause for suspicion; instead, those missed opportunities merely demonstrate the difficulty of predicting and preventing such random outbursts of violence.

Hmmm... I'm convinced he had Social Anxiety Disorder (SAD) - while Asperger's does synch with the voice inflection data, he appears to have been taking something that slashed the constant crying (CC) episodes. We see massive CC's from 16 to 19, with little at all from 20-22.

Here is some in-depth, DEEP analysis - certainly not main-stream - Mega Sleuth style... the way we like it.

The diction of this kid is stunning. pp 1-99 ; zero grammatical errors. pp. 100-117 ; six grammatical/mechanical errors, with four of them simply keystroke issues with the space bar. Spell check can only do so much.

So, he used a knife, a gun and his vehicle as his weapons. Hmmm.

Social Anxiety Disorder- (SAD) - I have this plague - but the difference ( its a biggie, especially when you have a vivid, intense imagination, like this ER had) between my SAD and his SAD is that when I have to make public appearances, i.e.; when I go to work, I work in the city - and when I walk the streets ( the office is a safe zone) but when in public, proper, walking - having a smoke, I do not look at people - I do not recognize others, or "people watch," I just know better - I am alone.. the streets are empty.

With his SAD - he had a need for sight consumption - so he would look at everyone - everything- soak in this vision - and let his imagination take that image ( let's say a couple holding hands, or smiling at each other) and he will instantly process the sexual aspects of it - visions of them in the bedroom.

To him, this was as if a the guy was sleeping with his girlfriend... a sharp shock,,, and no one can live like that.

The warm weather arrived - and each day, more and more couples emerged... and when he would sit in public ( the strategy of being there and waiting to be approached) and consume these images... each one yielding the same nasty, negative effect... the frequency was accelerating.

There could have been many ways to diffuse this: the cheetah club, or an experience similar for example. But we are talking about a kid who never even held a girl's hand... not even a kiss... so he was in trouble.

Love ya,

G

My niece is a senior at UCSB. Her parents and my fiance and I were there for Senior Day the weekend before last.

Her parents delivered her graduation present while we were there. A 2014 BMW SUV. The morning after the shootings i was stirring in my sleep when I heard a jumble of words coming from the TV...shootings, dead, UC Santa Barbara, isla Vista, BMW SUV. My niece lives on one of the streets mentioned above. I have never felt so ill in my life.

i jumped up and called my niece. No answer. I called my sister who immediately said "I was just calling you. She's ok. She flew to Las Vegas for the weekend with her friends". Thank God.

I hate that ER and his sense of entitlement has stolen the lives of young adults who were just beginning to live. I read some of his manifesto until I couldn't stand it anymore. He hated being short, he wanted to be blond and Caucasian, he was clingy and jealous at a young age. He acknowledges all this, yet still blames others for his failure to establish relationships. He hated himself, how could he expect anyone else to like him. Praying for the victims.
