I watched all those videos.
He was definitely trying to emulate Bateman.

I also thought about how it must feel for his parents to watch the videos of him just driving to the "happy" music. If this was a normal situation those videos would almost seem cute. I can not imagine how a parent must feel to not only lose a child but to have to live with his last acts being so horrendous.

I've watched the driving w/music videos a few times. Something about the music in them made me think he was trying to say something. Of course, I know it's likely just the music that happened to be playing, but I can't deny that I wondered if it was something more in that moment.

Just a quick explanation of my posting of the MMO-Champ thread link. I found it incredulous that ER was so obsessed with blonde women, he seems (can't confirm) to have brought the subject to a gaming site for a game he no longer played.

There's lot of talk of ER on the World of Warcraft forums. No one has said they knew him, mostly the talk revolves around how games are blamed for people committing awful crimes.

Okay, I read those posts and the situation is scary to me. You don't know who you are bantering with and they may be tracking you down. Is that possible. It is scary as to what you post may be pissing someone off and they are a nut like this ER was. Makes me reconsider Internet policing. I don't believe he was gay just very troubled. People with Aspergers are generally loners, friendless, lonely because they lack social skills which is very crippling.

Yes, I understand a little bit about Aspergers and being without social skills.

I thought some of the conversations were indirectly pointing to gays. Personally I think he looked rather feminine , esp, his lips.
Could he have truly hated women and secretly been drawn to men?

I had an awful experience when I let my cousin move in with me for a year. I learned a lot about mental illness/personality disorders during that time, most of it by Googling her behavior to try and figure out wth was wrong with her. Seriously, crash course into human psychology I hope to never repeat.

Something that had me baffled was the realization that she had no real personality of her own. No sense of something she believed in, no ethos she lived by, no consistant personality that was hers. She completely formed her behavior, attitude, mannerisms, etc. to her surroundings. If she was with family, she would act one way. With each friend or group of people I watched her morph before my eyes. The problem is, she can't seem to keep it up for any length of time. I don't know if the attempt to fit in stresses her to the breaking point or what, but eventually she always ends up completely melting down. She throws tantrums, gets in physical fights, ends up in jail. It's bad.

She fit a few different mental health categories according to my armchair diagnosis, but borderline personality disorder really jumped out at me. I am no professional, but I see some of the same traits in ER. I realize that he comes off as conceited, but I think that's an image he tried to project. In his writings, he often talks of feeling inferior and afraid....completely unable to figure out what it was everyone wanted him to be. It's like he has no core personality of his own to build from.

Then again he ended up with the broken ankle after he was pushed in retaliation. IMO he was clever enough to insert himself in situations. Instigate an altercation and become a victim. I couldn't agree more. I believe he had a grossly over-inflated opinion of himself and as such couldn't even dare fathom why hot women everywhere weren't all over him like white on rice. Of course due to his grandiose perception of himself, he lacked the insight to ever stop for a minute and consider that he himself was the common denominator in his history of being rejected. My opinion is.....poor little rich kid who was given everything any kid could ever ask for/dream of, yet his personality was so revolting that reciprocated interest of 'hot blonde babes' eluded him. IMO, in his mind he was "too good/too superior" to just the average girl-next-door-type.....and instead obsessed about girls/young women who were clearly out of his league, looks/personality/social skills-wise.

He comes across to me as a drama queen, the whole 'manifesto' thing. Trying to make himself out to be some legend (in his own mind), as if he were writing a script for a movie.

His video of him in the car at the beach, watching the couple kiss......to me he came across as fake, like he was acting (and bad acting at that).

Too bad he's dead, he should have spent the rest of his miserable, narcissistic life getting all the sex he could ask for -- in prison.

He wanted the extremely attractive blonde girls. He deserved them because he had the nice clothes, $300 sunglasses, and a BMW. This guy comes across like a male chauvinist pig.

I should have counted how many times he was so specific about wanting the "attractive" girls. :scared:

I'm sure this has been said as well. Even if he had been able to hook up with his dream blonde girl, he wouldn't have been happy. I don't believe anyone would have ever been enough for him.

Admittedly, I didn't read the entire thread. IMO he was trying to incite some blonde women hate there. No better place to try that than a gaming site with it's stereotype of being full of virgin no-lifers.

Couldn't agree more. And I bet if he could have bagged himself a hot blonde, he'd have been a #1 controlling, condescending, psychologically/emotionally abusive, degrading to her.......thriving on eroding her self-worth and confidence, picking on her looks, making her feel inferior and sub-par and unworthy of being with him.

I see him as someone who's never been told "no" in life by anyone, until he got the age of dating.....and gosh darn it, girls dared to tell him "no" by way of not being interested in him.........how dare they!

Er has certainly made an impact - his you tube account when from a handful of followers - to 3,000 on Saturday, 5,000 on Sunday, and 9,000 today.

There's a lot of this - but most are smart enough to know - this kid had no plan for his future - his plan involved the lottery.

I haven't visited his youtube account and I can honestly say that I am happy with those numbers. I really thought they would be a lot higher. 9,000 is nothing! Even with all the media attention... it isn't even close to what they consider viral. GOOD JOB, world!! This is what I like to see!

Ah, the rank thing explains that, thanks. I just read that loveblondes accepts red heads as attractive also. I've also not read anything in his writings or seen in his videos any expression of *loving* anyone or anything, only the desire to *acquire* one, like another inanimate trophy for his collection of stuff that rich people are "supposed" to be handed. I'm leaning toward this being a coincidence, but I'll be very interested in knowing if this poster ever lots in again. There's a chance this is ER in a different place on his manic cycle than we've seen in other publishings, kwim?

The High Overlord is just a ranking system based on the number of posts you have on the MMO forums. The more posts you have, the higher the title. The titles are garnered specifically from games that MMO Champ discusses.

I'm on the fence about this myself which is why I hesitated to post it in the first place. There are many at WoW.us and MMO-Champ who do think it's likely him though.

It will be even more interesting if that poster never posts again.

RBBM -- That's exactly what I thought. This could be a different ER than what we're used to seeing. It could not be him at all. I'm going to keep my eye on that profile, if the person logs on, I'll ask a mod to remove that portion of the thread.

I have never heard a straight 22 yr old male say he looked magnificent or his eyes were exotic gems! He is very aware of fashion. I wonder if he hated the females in his life because none were attracted to him because he assumed they thought of him as gay. He talked a lot about girls rejecting him but yet never asked any out or really even talked to them. IMO He wanted to be a tall,macho type, womanizer(maybe like dad?) but he was the complete opposite. I know many people were saying someone on fox news said he might have been homosexual and fighting it, I think he might have been too. He also was very racist even against other Asians, but he called himself Eurasian. I have not heard anyone refer to someone as Eurasian since the 60's when I was a little girl. IMO He talked non stop about never being kissed ,being a virgin and how all girls rejected him to his few male friends so they would not suspect he was gay or confused about his sexuality. I also wonder if he knew about his father's pictures of nude females. I know it is considered art but to some it makes a woman into a sexual object instead of a person. .
