Ladies, if you meet a man with a violent history, especially towards children, walk away. He's not a catch and you can't fix him. Have respect for yourself; you're worth more than this. Don't overlook red flags in your relationship. also, bringing a child into your abusive relationship will not help anything.

exactly.

he was allowed free with no responsibility and no accountability... in any way.

There will always be people who are a drain and burden to the rest of us. JH is one of them. And, now RH too.

When it happens, it's our responsibility to step in and take care of the injured people. It's an honor and privilege, really, that we are able to do so. It is expensive, but what better way to spend our resources than on "the least of these" to borrow that phrase.

Did Vincent Hughes, JH's lawyer, admit here that JH is guilty of the horrific abuse that was done to his 10 week old daughter that he blamed his wife Vanessa for?

“Jake has a criminal past,” Hughes said. “We’re not running from that, but the facts of that case are a lot different than the facts of this case. And one crime doesn’t mean that you’ve committed every other crime known to man, especially to take your own child.”

“They just want their son back, they want people to put in the same effort that they’re using to question them to go out and search for Emmanuel,” Hughes told The Times.'

This is how I feel too. Caring for those who have done nothing to deserve our care is what sets civilization apart from barbarians.

Hmm.
Probably (they thought ?) LE would have to get a warrant to enter, and then they'd go on the run.
Or something like that ?

Would've liked to watch that footage !
"...Bad boys... watcha gonna do when they come for you ....."

May karma be swift and harsh.
Hoping they find Emmanuel soon, so any evidence can be preserved, and he can be laid to rest respectfully, not thrown out by his parents as if he was trash. 🤬

Some people would give anything to have the blessing of a baby of their own.
Monsters do indeed walk this earth.
Imo.
@Chimera Now I will be singing that song for the rest of the day in my mind.

Is it possible that LE has found little Emmanuel, but are not telling the public yet?
I thinks so.
They may have decided to first arrest the parents before informing the public that they found Emmanuel.
I gather if they did find the baby the 2 lawyers would have been informed?
imo

Not directed at you, and this falls at random because I have seen it a lot in this thread…. It doesn’t sit right with me that women are getting blamed for letting these men into their lives. These men are GOOD at what they do. They love bomb and mirror and manipulate. They lie about every detail of their pasts and make themselves the victim. By the time their targets begin to see cracks… it is way too late.

Professional con artists, narcissists, abusers… men who need women to take care of them financially— that’s who is to blame. Not the women who choose to trust and have open hearts.

Not saying Rebecca is 100% a victim because she did some deplorable things too. But I truly believe Jake lied about his past and conned her.

Because of the arrests are we now allowed to talk about/show parents previous court records? Like restraining orders etc? I can never remember this rule

Yes, due to the arrests on murder charges related to Emmanuel, sleuthing is allowed on both parents, and that includes any/all history on either of them.

I think we're pretty much a WS orchestra at this point.
Dang, I knew with it being Felony Friday and I needed to leave for a doctor's appointment, that arrests would be made. Now I'm having to catch up.

The state of the home in the posted photo from today makes me think they're living in poverty. Does anyone know if they are? I know a neighbors home just burned down because people living in an RV on the property caught it on fire. They live in a rough area?

Because if so, and if they're low income, who is paying for this lawyer?

You are correct. But in this case, he had already done time for horrible child abuse. A simple Google search should have revealed that. She could have saved herself a lot of grief.

It'd be a trip if he ends up in the same prison with his brother in law (RH's brother) who murdered his girlfriend. Holy cow, what a family.
Shoot, they could earn frequent flyer points.

I mean, it’s not a great area. I’m in LA and, this is a generalization, but typically the further you get from LA and the deeper into the desert, the cheaper it is to live. They are really far out — almost to Palm Springs. All that’s really in Cabazon is a big outlet mall and a casino.

of course. what you're saying is, imo... basic human civility.... caring and protecting of others and i'm in agreement with that. but, to absolve this monster by allowing him to go free and procreate and murder another child as alleged in this case... with absolutely no accountability except minimal time in jail ... and no restitution for the harm he inflicted on his first victim makes no sense for a civil society. seems to me some financial accountability would be due rather than place it all on taxpayers.

but, of course... to each his own opinion.

..
Investigators entered three detached buildings on the property, including a single-story home and a tin-roofed barn. Helicopters circled over the neighborhood and showed footage of investigators parsing through scattered items in the home’s rear while multiple people filmed the scene with their phones from the street.

The sheriff’s department said Emmanuel is presumed dead, but “investigators will continue their search for seven-month-old Emmanuel Haro.”

I can't help but wonder if the burned RV was searched for tiny remains.

Cabazon is about 90 miles east of L.A. in an unincorporated area of Riverside County. It’s pure desert out there. Yucaipa is about 30 miles from Cabazon.

I doubt he's required to; both of the children from that marriage were adopted. He's no longer legally their parent.

When you adopt someone, you are legally responsible for the child. I am unsure what you are trying to say. If a married couple adopts a child, both are legally responsible (for life) in the same way biological parents are.

Were they foster children instead?

Anyway, in none of the US states is this true. If it's a legal adoption - but are saying it wasn't? If it wasn't an adoption, let's use a different term.

They live in a desert area that has plots of land with houses that are not necessarily up to code, as many were built before some codes were in place, plus it is Riverside COUNTY. County is looser re housing codes. "Poverty" would be what their income was. State of the home has many factors including attitude and care in addition to if fixing it up was affordable.

I travel though there on a regular basis. IMO, horrible area to live. But I don't like Banning, either.
