My hopes are that RH will be offered a deal against JH. And also tell the location of Emmanuel.

I don't think there is an Emmanuel to be found anymore. I hope I am wrong.

I am counting on LE to have enough evidence to nail them both. It might be physical evidence at the home combined with digital evidence.

I would feel differently if she made ANY attempt to come clean before arrest. She had opportunities and didn't take them.

Or even murder-suicide. This arrest went as well as is possibly could, given the knowns and unknowns of the situation.

I'm relieved they both are behind bars and forever separated.

I keep thinking how she had the opportunity in that car on the drive to Big 5 to do the right thing and alert LE while she was away from JH. But, she didn't. I have a hunch the jury will notice that too.

For me, it stood out that the parents talked about Emmanuel being healthy and crawling. Bizarre IMO. Your baby is missing, and that's how you describe him when pleading for help? To me, and MOO only - I'm no expert, that indicates a *significant* level of sensitivity on the topic of his health and development.

They didn’t know him or want to know him at all.

Possibly he was just inconvenient or an expense they didn’t want to shoulder.

Although I note that the police found four expensive gaming systems in that house of horrors.

Priorities, you know.

At first I took it as defensive as they knew his facial features would raise questions about his development.

I think someone (dad?) said, "he hit all the milestones" or something like that, which I found strange. Who the heck cares if he hit his milestones - we're not filling out your baby book! You'd think the parents would say, "Find my child! Here's his picture! We love him so much! Please, please, please help us!"

I also think Emmanuel had not been to the doctor. It's normal at the check-ups for the doc to mention the milestones, so I think that was on their minds, and describing his development was a lame attempt to look like attentive parents.

Meanwhile, he was deceased at their hands.

Thank you for raising this point. Because given Jake’s past history of extreme abuse. I question whether Emmanuel was injured as a very young infant - like his sister.

I really want to see his medical history.

I don’t feel one is any more guilty than the other. They both lived in the house with Emmanuel. They were both aware of what happened (no matter who did what). Neither called for help. Both went along with the cover-up and lied through their teeth. One or the other of them could have come clean at any time, but they are both sticking to this ridiculous scenario. I have zero sympathy for either one of them and if one turns on the other and gets a plea deal, I hope the judge throws it out and nails both of their butts to the wall.

At one time, I did feel sympathy for Rebecca, thinking she was suffering DV and was a victim also. But as I watch this unfold, I'm not so sympathetic anymore.

If she truly was a victim, wouldn't she have asked for protection and broke down by now? Watching them walk out of that interview (she was wearinga white shirt) a few days ago, holding hands with Jake. Sort of killed it for me. Now I feel she's sticking with him because she too is culpable in Emmanuel's death.

I would like to see both of them get the maximum sentence. I think regardless of who did what in my opinion they are equally culpable. That said, if one of them turned on the other I would be okay with that one getting a slightly lesser sentence if it meant that Emmanuel was found.

From the get-go, I could see how fake their behavior was - I’m sure 99.99999% of the public knew that. It sickens me watching them acting distraught. I am so relieved they have been arrested and I pray they never see the light of day again.

To add: I’ve held the opinion that poor Emmanuel just didn’t look right. Now the question I have is was there a disability present at birth and the parents could not/would not seek appropriate care, or was he continually abused which caused injuries/disability and therefore no medical care? Again, my opinion is that there appeared to me that something was wrong with him.
