What is a DP case?

Wait, did the Sheriff just say that the abuse call on the Thursday before the arrest came from JAKE?

I want to know, too. I can't hear the questions.

DA claims keyboard warriors are responsible for misinformation. couldn't hear the question but he categorically denies it whatever it is.

We are looking for his remains. We are hoping to find the remains.

Sheriff: I complimented MSM and are printing what we've told you. It hasn't been like those on social media who just want some clicks with lies.

The reason why we got such a good handle on this case so fast is the inland sheriffs departments working together so well. It's called investigation. We've got two entire departments investigating this case. Purposeful lies and misinformation is going to hamper this investigation.

Cops get bad rap of being heartless souls. Most LEOs are parents, dads or moms, nothing more traumatic than a case where a child has been harmed. When say we believe someone murdered a child and that someone should have been in prison, we are all traumatized by it. The anger I have the frustration that I have, and with the misinformation, there is nothing more important to us right now.

DA is back at podium. We cannot lay it all out for you today. (facts of the case)

We have a theory as to when his death occurred, when teh parents came forward it was to tell the public something that wasn't true. That is all I can say. We have a lot of witnesses shedding light, will not identify if they are relatives or who.

HEAVILY Discouraging members of the public doing their own searches. It has the potential to severely damage our case.

to be a DP case they need the special circumstances and at this time they do not have those elements to pursue DP

on the call prior to arrests.

Sheriff: there was a call for service to eth residence generated by Jake that we investigated concerning the child abuse case. That is all I can give you on that.

(wow, was Jake trying to throw RH under the bus like he did with his previous wife by preemptively reporting her as the abuser in teh household?)

Sheriff again reiterates if it didn't come from the two departments working on this case stop believing it.

I didn't hear iteither but I can't help but to wonder if it wasn't the irresponsible wildfire reporting of a successful search when in fact Emmanual had not been found.

LE privacy got flooded with a thousand phone calls.

LE has had this investigation under control from the get go.

sorry guys I know I was lagging behind where the presser was, got interrupted and had to pause for a few minutes.

My takeaways - the parents are "somewhat" cooperative which could explain the search involving Jake's presence the other day. Jake called sheriff to report abuse prior to the couple's arrest which may explain teh removal of the two year old from the home. LE do have leads and places they intend to search and they don't want the public mucking around in potential search areas messing up possible evidence or the DAs case.

Sheriff has had it up to here with the keyboard warriors and the youtubers and tiktok "journalists" who keep making his job harder by spreading rumors as fact and muddying the waters.

Can we read between the lines? Did someone call LE about Emmanual, prior?

ETA Sounds like he generated the abuse call, maybe about the 2 year old.

Is this where the kidnapping story was born? They knew no one could see that baby in the state he was in (a victim of chronic abuse IMO) so they discarded him??????

Throw the book at them. Throw the whole prison at them. Bury 'em under it.

Judge should be sitting there with them. That’s the only way we change this

Jake said to make sure he’s fed and to change his diaper.

Maybe that when baby emmanual cried and he couldn’t take it.

Jmo

Had a guy tell me years ago that he was in the car with his young son while wife was in the grocery store and he couldn’t get him to stop crying so he shook him to try to get him to stop crying.
The boy ended up with a stutter and he blamed himself for it.

As he should have.

Jmo
I can't even begin to understand why he would ever tell another living soul that he did this?

Predicted this one. This ain't Jake's first "baby abuse" rodeo. Split the difference so he can continue to abuse babies. Same as he did last time. Blames the Mom, so he doesn't get the full blame and creates "Reasonable Doubt".

Yeah. Not.

It wasn't said who he reported, only that the call came from him.

The main point I think that was interesting in the beginning...

Within 24 hours of the report of kidnapping, they had video surveillance that proved that her story was inconsistent. Within 24 hours they knew that she was lying and spent 100's of hours investigating what DID happen to Emmanuel. There was not another vehicle involved, so no Amber Alert could be issued

This was preventable!! Enormous amount of respect that the public are pissed!

Hopefully the judge lets that evidence in.
Matt Murphy retired Deputy DA from Orange County thinks getting prior bad acts in won't be an issue.
