Emmanuel Haro (7 mos old) reported kidnapped by mother on Aug. 14, 2025. He was last seen on Aug. 5, 2025. Still missing.
*Rebecca Renee Haro (41) "mother" arrested (8/22/25),
charged (8/26/25) & arraigned (9/4/25) with 1st degree murder & filing a false police report. Plead not guilty [9/4/25]. Held without bond. Bond set (8/26/25) at $1M CASH only. Riverside County
*Jake Mitchell Haro (32) "father" arrested (8/22/25),
charged (8/26/25) arraigned (9/4/25) with 1st degree murder & filing a false police report. Plead not guilty [9/4/25]. Held without bond. Bond set (8/26/25) at $1M CASH only. Riverside County

8/26/25 Update: Rebecca & Jake Haro appeared in court with public defenders representing the mother & father were officially charged with 1st degree murder. With a $1 million CASH bond set for both. "The Haros’ arraignment was ultimately pushed to next week, which, according to Riverside County Public Defender Brian Cosgrove, should be enough time to ensure both Jake Rebecca are each appointed separate attorneys who will need time to learn more about the case." Their arraignment will continue on 9/4/25. According to the Riverside County DA's office, they are also charged with making a false police report. Rebecca is currently being held at the Robert Presley Detention Center, while Jake is being held at the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility.
9/4/25 Update: The Riverside County Public Defender's Office has assigned Deputy Public Defenders Allison Lowe & Paulette Garthwaite to represent Jake & Rebecca will be represented by private attorney Jeff Moore, who was appointed by the court. A Cabazon couple pleaded not guilty in court Thursday at their arraignment on murder & other charges. Along with murder, both are charged with filing a false police report. The child's parents appeared at a joint arraignment in Riverside County Superior Court. The judge also scheduled a felony settlement/trial readiness conference hearing on 9/16/25 & a preliminary hearing on 9/17/25. Each defendant is being held at separate jails in lieu of $1 million bail.
