Please may I ask, so he is next in court for sentencing 3rd Nov and I thought her prelims started on that same date? So now this has been rescheduled to 21st Jan '26 but his sentencing will still be 3rd Nov?
Thank you

Was any reason given? Curious if this means she’s also hammering out a plea deal?

Still want to hear thoughts on why the acceptance of his plea deal wouldn’t have necessitated giving up details on where Emmanuel’s body is?

Or is it and we just don’t know that yet?

I wondered this too, I think it was probably to give more time for her to decide whether to change her plea.

Def to see what happens in his proceeding, I agree.

Can he get less time if he rats on her and/or if he reveals where Emmanuel is?

He can only get discounts on his sentence if the judge chooses to apply them. IMO they will throw the book at him in this case and he will get the highest possible sentence, maybe reduced slightly for his guilty plea

Question, does straight up entering a guilty plea get JH out of providing info on where EH remains are?
I truly hope they have to give up the location. Why RH is sticking to the "hola" story is beyond me.

While throwing himself on the mercy of the judge one of the possibilities discussed here is that JH could tell the judge where baby EH is hoping it helps with his sentence.

This Judge in Emmanuel's case was handed the judicial equivalent of a bomb.

Due to the prior case and asinine sentence rendered by the visiting judge. This proceeding is going to be highly scrutinized, is he allowed to consider the previous case?

My husband & I were wondering about this as well. I'm not really sure if they can use that case against him during the trial for EH, I think it depends what the stipulations said in that court case. I hope they can use it though.

9/16/25 Update: The parents of baby Emmanuel are expected to appear in court Tuesday as prosecutors & defense attorneys explore resolving the case through a possible plea agreement. Today Jake Haro's attorney’s filed to push back the felony settlement conference & even though Rebecca Haro's Attorney objected, the judge granted that request. The new date for the felony settlement conference will be on 10/16/25 & the start of the preliminary hearings will be on 10/28/25. Which will be where the judge determines if there is enough evidence, or "probable cause," to believe a crime was committed.
10/16/25 Update: Jake Haro pleaded guilty to all charges, which include second-degree homicide, filing a false police report & assault of a child under 8; great bodily injury resulting in death. The Riverside County DA's office noted that the plea was made straight to the judge, without negotiations between the defense & prosecution. Jake Haro faces a potential sentence of 25 years to life in prison. He is set to be sentenced on 11/3/25 # 8:30am. Rebecca Haro, did not plead guilty; the case against her will continue. She is also charged with Emmanuel's murder, along with filing a false police report & other charges. Next for Rebecca pretrial conference hearing on 10/28/25 @ 8:30am.

The Riverside County District Attorney's Office is seeking a minimum 31-year sentence for Jake Haro, a Cabazon resident, who pleaded guilty to the murder of his 7-month-old son, Emmanuel. Haro, 32, will be sentenced on today after admitting to second-degree murder, assault on a child under eight causing death, and filing a false police report. The Public Defender's Office, however, is advocating for a term of 15 years to life.

Haro's guilty plea, entered on October 16 at the Riverside Hall of Justice, was not part of a plea agreement with the DA's office. According to court documents, the murder and assault charges stem from the same act, meaning under California law, Haro can only be sentenced for one charge. Assistant District Attorney Brandon Smith emphasized that Haro deserves the maximum sentence allowed by law.

News Channel Three’s Garrett Hottle has asked the district attorney’s office whether Haro has disclosed how the baby died or where his remains are, whether a change-of-plea form is available, whether co‑defendant Rebecca Haro will appear today and whether prosecutors plan to grant interviews.

This is a developing story and will be updated with further information as it becomes available.
