Statement Analysts would have something to say about how she calls the seat of the car where she was changing the baby a "chair" and says she woke up "on the floor" instead of on the ground.
Is English her first language?

I got the sense it's not. Personally I would give someone a pass for poor word-choices when/if it's not their first language. But I would still pay attention to things like her providing justifications for her actions and things that won't help solve the case (I smelled he needed a diaper change so I said okay we'll change you/I was getting his diapers out), and those that seem designed to influence the audience into thinking she's a good parent (he was a happy baby) and missing important details, like actually being hit.

IMO

The grandmother said in the interview that Emmanuel was the mother's pride and joy, and she'd waited years to have a baby boy of her own. Maybe dad was jealous?
Your sharing what grandmother said reminds me of the one moment Mom seemed connected to what she was saying instead of seeming dissociated. She was describing Emmanuel and she mentioned his ‘beautiful brown hair’, and said it ‘was as soft as a feather…’ and while speaking of his hair, something visibly changed in her- just momentarily. If any of you saw that I’m sure you’ll know what I mean.

I totally agree. She is using words that sound to me like someone who speaks Spanish and English. The floor is the ground and the chair is the car seat.

I don't believe her story, but not because of those words.

I was making a joke about my user name. :)

Carry on.

You know what might be a discrepancy could be if they have video of her driving on the main street/turning into the store parking lot, and no time between that and running into the store to ask if anyone had seen someone with a baby. No time for what she says happened in other words.

Speculation only

Maybe there was indeed a camera that captured the parking lot.

Or, maybe a neighbor's camera that shows the family loading into the vehicle to go to the game, but no baby?

eta: or video someone took at the game that should discrepancies in her story??

I imagine a lot of people would have their phones out videoing their children at a match, but would it be near enough to where the cars were parked and to show the occupancy of a baby car seat, with car doors closed? I imagine if there was no baby in the seat they would have covered it over with a cloth of some sort to hide that. People, especially family and friends, love to coo over babies.

Maybe something as simple a video as showing the other child playing, implying he had a mouth guard?

I don't know. The possibilities are many of what the video could be. I suppose we could guess all day.

Cell phones.

Maybe LE could get warrant for their phones to see were the phones have been in the hours/days prior to the “kidnapping “.

I bet thats exactly it, They probably already have the phone info because would they need a warrant or would this be considered an exigent circumstance?

The black eye? I wonder if there was surveilance from somewhere showing that the black eye existed before the alleged attack incident ( seems everyone is saying it looks old)

KTLA news report had some new information. Grandmother says the mom refused a lie detector test. Also, news media now reporting the dad has criminal record. The parent's property is being searched with cadaver dogs. Very sad.

Worst acting ever. The dramatic breathing alone really sickens me. MOO

MOO or maybe dad was angry at Emmanuel's health condition(s) and wanted a son who would be more like his football-playing sons?

I don't think jealousy of Emmanuel is a big factor in this one. I think it is more likely that the man who has previous child cruelty charges simply has no patience with children in general and Emmanuel is no exception. Abusers abuse. JMO

She said his hair WAS as soft as a feather, and not IS. That’s odd.

I suspect it was video evidence of her somewhere sporting a big ole shiner days before the alleged abduction, or video of one or both of the parents casing the Big 5 parking lot to determine there were no cameras so the right parking spot could be selected on the big day.
