i had read that they were a blender family of 6 i’ll try and locate a source. I was under impression that he had 2 kids with a previous wife & 2 kids with rebecca but who can say? jmo

I've only seen MSM reports but they've all stated she has 2 (baby Emmanuel and a 2 yr old daughter) and the other children were her step kids. I've never seen any MSM report that said all the kids live in the same house though. So, there's some conflicting info here.

Yup 100% and I don't wholly disagree with it. If it is found that the father has soley injured and killed Emmanuel and there is evidence of DV in the household aimed towards the mother and the children, I believe that an intimate partner violence defense would be warranted for the mother. That's not to say she doesn't bare responsibility and blame though as complicity is there, just in a diminished sense.

BWS isn't a defense in and of itself yet defense attorneys can call in a expert witness to testify.
This usually happens when a woman kills her partner who is claimed to have been physically/emotionally abuse towards her.
Fear of reporting your abusive partner for abusing your children has also been thrown into the mix of BWS.

So far it hasn't been very successful with jurors and in quite a few cases where a child has been severely abused and/or has died there are more shades of "Stockholm Syndrome" with the abuser.

I am not yet ready to give her a pass. She must have noticed her baby being in pain and bruises on her body.

I'm not sure about a pass for her yet either (the ex-wife). I do think there are probably several factors affecting whether she will speak out or provide much assistance in this case, including that she might be the most capable, functional adult that some of Emmanuel's siblings have, and she might be trying to mostly manage that right now. I certainly don't actually know if she's capable and functional overall, but out of their parents, she's the only one who doesn't have a mysteriously missing, probably murdered infant.

I had thought 2 together and 3 prior between them all together it was 5 . Some people report 6 but I think it is five.

I'm confused about the number of kids, but I'm okay with that confusion at the moment.

What I want to know is - were any of the other kids at the game that night? And if so, how did they get there? If the 2yo was with the parents, she obviously cannot provide information about Emmanuel in the car.

Does the athlete child live with bio mom? If so, he likely arrived in her car.

Perhaps the other kids didn't attend the game. Old enough to stay home or with a relative/babysitter? Idk, just pondering the logistics.

Are there witnesses to Emmanuel being in the car at all that night?

Who was at the game - does anyone here know?

(And infuriating they used the child's game as their cover story - so unkind to him, imo.)

Thank you for this - I see it after I posted my questions about what kids were at the game....specifically, what kids arrived at the game in the car with Emmanuel.

I'm thinking NO older kids who could provide info (a 2yo could not) were in the car to know whether or not Emmanuel was there or what condition he was in.

All I've read is that she has 6 children.
I'm behind on the reporting so I obviously could be wrong assuming they're all hers.
All I know is that JH has a daughter, the one he abused and almost killed and should be sitting in prison for 25 yrs..minimum.

To be honest. It is hard to see the pictures of Emmanuel. Knowing that Jake abused his other daughter since birth to 10 weeks old (Its in his charges, the 10 week old also had healed bruises.), makes me think Emmanuel had a really rough time in that household.

Or, he could've stayed to watch the sport while keeping the baby as she ran the errand.

The whole story is awkward and doesn't make sense if you think through the actions.

But, he had to have a plan that put the responsibility on the wife. imo

JH has a known history of child abuse of a baby that also involved a former partner. This seems to me to be a possible repeat and escalation of that behaviour. Purely my speculation here, but I get the sense he is someone who might abuse the children as part of the abuse of his partners (evidence: the black eye) while making them complicit in it.

What could be worse than your partner beating you? Being made to watch them do it to your child, feeling powerless to stop it, and then being criminally liable and forced to try to cover up what happened. JMO

I think the main thing here is get these parents off the street because there are a lot of endangered children around them and MIL seems to be pretty dimwitted an too focused on murdering sons to help give a poop about any of these kids..Maybe..IMO.

I can't get "10 weeks" out of my head. Essentially just born into the world and needing help to live and thrive. And this baby didn't get that.

I can't even imagine a grown man hurting a 10-week old baby - it's beyond pathetic. imo
