I'm sorry but what the heck even triggers you into abusing a 10-week-old baby that badly? They don't even do anything yet, just sleeping and eating. What is wrong with people? By the way, Emmanuel looks like any other cute baby to me, the pictures are just from very weird angles. Almost like most of the pictures were taken by other children, just saying.

So far it appears the cases may be quite similar where the older daughter got a pass and the abuse was directed towards the younger brother and in both cases there were questions about the boy's physical health and did it play a role?
We know that it didn't play a role when JH almost killed his 10 week old daughter as far as I know nothing was reported about the baby's health.

I can’t speak for the state, but typically what happens is that there’s a range of intervention provided. So on one end of the spectrum, There are basic parenting classes and on the other end of the spectrum there is full removal with supervised visits. In between there are things like parenting at different levels, counseling, anger management etc and the therapist and staff and provide high-level intervention typically in the home

ETA but none of that should have been relevant here because it should at surface appearance been handled differently.

@TMich6811 in your opinion, is this situation an anomaly, or are there so many cases like this it’s become commonplace?

Well, they aslo:
- cry, loundly and repeatedly, keeping you sleep deprived
- puke, usually all over the parent
- in case of boys, might pee during diaper change or similar on parents, walls, floors, or anything nearby (poorly positioned morning coffee). Like a wilde hose spray.

So I do think one can find the triggers. Possibly combined with frustration from the lack of sex dyrubg the first months postpartum, if the man is a total *insert an impolite word of your choice*.

It was reported that their 2 yr old daughter is now in state custody, thankfully.

Has anything been reported on the age of the other 4 kids, their father(s) and where they are now?

I hope the kids are old enough to offer some type of insight into the events of that evening, or even the dynamics of the houshold. 2 ex wives, 1 woman and 6 kids have a common denominator who seems to be a constant disruption to the kids life. Sometimes when the people around you are having so many problems....You are the problem.

Is it odd that they'd put their personal numbers on the poster and not the police?
I guess no-one made new posters either.

I saw a video somewhere (not a reliable source, so I won't share here... but may be something to look into/consider) where the mother was married previously and has two adult children with her ex-husband. They are grown and he said he has had no contact with her, didn't know she was married or that she had more children.

If this does in fact turn out to be accurate and she went so many years before starting a new family, then IMO this convict saw a woman who has a low self-esteem, someone he could control, someone who may have just wanted rebuild the family she lost. Her children at least grew into adults, one of his was sent to ICU by him. She was separated from her children wether by choice or external factors. He was sent to prison by his own actions. He violated his parole/probation by having a HAND GUN. Not because he took the kids across the state to give his family a meaningful vacation. This dude an immature, selfish person. IMHO

When asked if the parents are being probed as suspects, the sheriff's office said, "Investigators have not ruled out anyone's involvement and are following up on all leads and tips."
